The Ice has Arrived

We woke up this morning to a very icy outdoors, no snow just ice. It was pretty funny going out to get the paper this morning, but I successfully made it without slipping 🙂  Thank goodness we got everything done yesterday, I don’t think I will be going out any time too soon.

How is your weather today? Did you wake up to wintry weather too?

  1. Yikes, ice is worse than snow! Sadly, we have been waking up to super-cold temps for the last 2 weeks. No fun for Christmas shopping. I hope your icy conditions leave you soon.

  2. Oh, I wanted to ask you: what time does the sun go down where you are? The sun goes down here about 4:15pm and comes up about 8:30am. The moon is out all day long most days this time of year.

I’m just curious, I find these types of things so interesting about other places in the world.

  3. Thanks Susan 🙂 Sorry to hear about the super cold temps, I hope that you are all staying nice and toasty. Wow that is wild about the moon being out all day, I would be super sleepy. I have no idea how you handle the super cold weather, there is no way that I could do it 😉

The sun is usually down about 5:00 p.m. (I’m in central time), and it is up at about 7:30 a.m., the further we get into Winter though it seems to get dark at 4:30 p.m., and the sun isn’t up until 8:00 a.m. We have had a few days where a Winter front has gone through and the sun disappears at 2:00 p.m., my cats then think it is time to eat :)They usually are fed at sun up and sun down 😉

During Winter when my husband works open to close 6:45 a.m.-6:30 p.m. he goes the entire day without seeing the sun. That would drive me batty 😉

  4. That is exactly my husband’s situation, too…goes to work in the dark and comes home in the dark LOL. Sometimes he comes home and asks me if the sun even came out at all.

    Have a good night, Nichole 😀 .
