On Friday Thade and I gathered the supplies, and we made Soccer Snack Bags for his game on Saturday.
O.k. when I say made snacks, I actually mean place Snacks gently in a cute bag and add a sicker. I’m still feeling a bit under the weather, and I thought it would be best to used prepared snacks, instead of baking anything and passing along my flu germs.
We set everything out on the table, and I put Thade in charge of the Apple Juice. He counted the little boxes over and over. He couldn’t wait to get to the game, and eat the snacks. We needed eleven snacks bags for the team, and I made one extra just in case.
On game day the weather was freezing, and Thade wasn’t in the mood to play Soccer, so it was a long game. Snack time was at the end of the game, and the kids were so cute, everyone was very curious about just what was in those bags. Thade was thrilled to see that we had 3 extra bags left over just for him 🙂
I really liked making the Snack bags, and I will make them again if I have to bring snacks for T-Ball. Next time though, I’ll make a batch of cookies, but stick with the Juice Boxes, Thade loved them 😉
Great job Nico!Tell Thade I’ll see him soon for my snack bag……do you think he would share? Just kidding! The cookies sounds like a good deal for next time…..but sometimes us mommy’s get in a crunch! Blessings!!!!!
OOOHHH!!! What a fantastic idea, snack bags for soccer! I’m gonna have to steal that one. I bet the kiddos loved it.
I hope you’re feeling better today. Not good to be sick again!
Thanks Marva! I’ll save you one 😉 I was planning on making No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal cookies, but I decided to just buy the cookie packs instead, I’m so worried about passing along this flu… Thade LOVES Famous Amos Cookies, and they came in a box of 12, so it was just enough.
Thanks Susan! I noticed at the previous game that all of the kiddos fought over the same bag of cookies. I thought it would be easier just to make all of the snacks the same and in little surprise packs. The kids really liked the bags, and I used inexpensive Paper Lunch Sacks to put them together. Thade had fun putting together all of the packs, me too 😉
My kids would have loved something like that for game snack.
Thanks Maggie! Thade had a fun time making the bags of goodies! I think the team enjoyed the treats too 😉
