I’m going a little stir crazy, and I’ve been on a cleaning rampage in the Living Room today. The toys and clutter were just too much, and some major cleaning had to be done! I’ve just taken out my third trash bag full of junk, and I’m feeling much better about the room as a whole 🙂
The bookshelves have been rearranged with Thade’s toys on the higher shelves, and Dylan’s toys in the bins below. The toy organizer is organized (finally), with Thade’s big boy toys in the red dividers, and Dylan’s plushes in the box. Everything that is at Dylan’s level is baby-proofed, and safe for him to play with too.
Even the play pen was reorganized and de-cluttered 🙂 I think Dylan will have more fun playing now that there is less clutter.
There is still (and will always be) a lot to do, but it is a good start on the road to a clutter free downstairs Living Room. I know the entire family will enjoy the space more!
Great job Nicole! I have been on a kick of cleaning/organizing every drawer, cupboard, and closet in the house….I’m not done but boy do I feel better! Less stress and more time to do fun things 🙂 Keep up the great work! Ellie
Nice job. Smart organization geared towards the little ones can be challanging but it looks like you have everything placed in a way where they can use it and its easy for them to put back too. Congratualations on everything you’ve been doing, can you come over here next 🙂

The living room is finally coming together, Thade isn’t too happy with the changes, he likes messes. Dylan was pretty happy though, and loved going through all of his toys. I was just so tired of cleaning up the same mess over and over again, and I noticed that Thade was digging out all of his stuff just to look for one item. I hope to take the organization even further and invest in a new bookshelf to store it all in too.
Thanks Maggie! You are too sweet 🙂 It became a necessity for me to get the room organized. Dylan is three years younger and wanting to play with all of the big kid/small pieces toys, something had to be done. It has been a bit of a challenge to get the room together to make both kids happy. Thade isn’t too happy with the changes just yet, so I’m hoping that he comes around. Dylan likes all of the room to crawl around in 🙂
