  1. Nico the cherry thing in the middle??? Is it like a turnover, if so can you post the recipe my momma loves cherry turnovers and would love to bring joy to a 78 yr old momma

  2. Thanks Vicki! It’s pretty close to a turnover, and definitely worth a try. It’s a Cream Cheese Cherry Crescent Roll bake, and it makes a tasty dessert or breakfast too. Here’s the recipe that I made, hope you and your mom like it.

You’ll need: 2 packages of Crescent Roll dough, 1 8oz. package of Cream Cheese, 1 Large Egg, 3/4 cup of Sugar, a dash of vanilla, and 1 can of Pie Filling (any kind will do).

Pre-heat your oven to 375. Lightly grease the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan, and place one package of Crescent Roll dough in the bottom of the pan (you can roll it out a bit so it fits nicely). In a large mixing bowl mix together your egg, vanilla, sugar, and cream cheese. Beat with a mixer until creamy, spread the mixture over the layer of crescent roll dough. Top it off with the pie filling, and then add on your final layer of crescent roll dough. You can roll the dough, or I kept mine as triangles, I thought it looked pretty with the cherry pie filling peeking through.

Bake the delicious dish for 20-30 minutes. I glazed mine with a little powdered sugar glaze once the dish had cooled for a bit.

    Enjoy and happy baking!
