Pudding Cups and Ice Pops

Snacks are a must have in our house, and I’m always trying to save a bit on family favorite treats. I spotted an Popsicle Mold at the store for $2.00, and I thought it would be great to make some Pudding Pops for Thade.

My Popsicle mold made 4 Pudding-pops, so I was left with a lot of leftover pudding… But none of it went to waste.

I filled my Silicone Baking Cups with the leftover pudding, and made individual pudding cups. They were just as tasty as the store bought individual cups, but we can reuse our cups, so there was no packaging waste. I stored the homemade cups in the fridge in Gladware. The kiddos loved the tasty treats too.

What homemade snacks or treats do you like to make for your family?

  1. What a neat idea! I have never baked with Silicone yet. How does it wash? You will be so proud- I made my first bundt cake today!! Jake helped and we were both happy with the tasty results. Here’s the recipe:
box of spice cake, can of apple pie filling, 4 eggs
Combine all these, preheat oven and mix following instructions on cake mix box. Pour into bundt pan. I could have baked mine a little longer(I used 40 mins.) but didn’t want to risk burning it. I’m going to melt some left over icing I had in frig and pour over top for ice sweet touch. You could also just sprinkle powdered sugar over it.
We were invited over to friend’s house for dinner tonight. I’m so happy the cake turned out and we can bring it as dessert.

  2. Thanks Heather! YAY!!! I’m super proud of you and Jake too 🙂 Thanks for sharing the Bundt Cake recipe too, it sounds so tasty. We LOVE Bundt cake around here 🙂 I don’t know what it is, but cakes always taste the best when they are baked in a Bundt pan 😉 I know your friends will appreciate the delicious dessert too.

I like to bake with Silicone, but it is a little different. You definitely need a good sturdy cookie sheet under whatever you are baking, and I also find that silicone is a little tricky to get completely clean. It takes a little extra time when you are hand-washing the cupcake liners or pans. The kids love the little Silicone Cupcake cups though, they are fun to stack, and they come in really handy for dry cereal or small snacks too 🙂
