It Still Takes A Village

I’ve been disappearing lately, I’ve been lost in all of the daily to do’s and tasks that need accomplished. I’m not ready for Thanksgiving at all next week, and I have so many things that need to come together.

But I’ve been thinking about blogging and blogs in general. Does anyone still read them, or have they all gone by the wayside? I’ve missed writing , and I would love to get back in the habit.

So if there are any readers out there, what would you like to see from NicoStuff?

Let me know, and break me of this silent funk.

The Last Few Months

The last few months have been challenging and maddening. I’m only having a few days a week where my depression is manageable, and some of my OCD tics are starting to reappear. It is frustrating, and I often feel defeated…

This is the time of the year when my seasonal affective disorder eases, last year, I fell into an eleven month long major depressive episode. Again, this is very frustrating, and infuriating when my brain won’t cooperate…

I try to keep it all together, and power through to the next day, but I’m just so very tired…

Could Have Slept In

The kids are out of school today, and I could have slept in. I ended up being wide awake at 4:00 a.m., ugh. I’ve been washing laundry, and scheduling haircuts for the boys. We’ve been out to get donuts, and a run few other errands too. Agnes has a youth choir music program this evening, and it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. I’m so tired this afternoon, I’m about to fall asleep at my keyboard. Time to grab a cup of green tea, and see if it helps.

Hello October

The weather has finally turned a bit cooler, and my seasonal affective disorder is easing up a little bit. September was one of the very busiest months, and I’m pleased that October is starting off at a bit of a slower pace.

This week I started tackling the upstairs hallway. The hallway had become a cluttered catch-all over the Summer, and there was never a good time to get to the task. I set my goal for the week of decluttering three contractor bags out of the house. So far I’ve filled two from the upstairs hallway, and it’s only Tuesday.

I’ve been doing a bit better keeping up around the house as well. I finally have a bit of energy back, and I’m tackling lots of odd neglected chores.

I wish I had something more exciting to report from my little neck of the woods, but it is nice having a few slow days too.

Almost A Month

It’s been almost a month since the kids have returned to school. September has become one of our busiest months. There is too much to do, and remember, and I’m trying not to miss any of it. The weather is also just plain miserable. We still are seeing temperatures in the upper 90’s to 105, it is not helping my mood at all.

On a good note, the garden is still producing like crazy. I’ve been cooking and putting away produce to use throughout the next few months. I’ve pretty much been living in the kitchen, when I’m not in the car running kids, speaking of which, it is almost time to go again.

I’m hoping that October might calm down a little, and the cool weather will return.
