Hello Summer

At 3:15 p.m. Summer officially begins, well in our school district anyway.

In some ways, this has been a long school year. We had too many sick days, rough mornings, and tons of time spent in the car.

In other ways, this year has flown by. The kids have grown, and worked hard through the year. They have kept fantastic grades, and made best friends too.

I don’t know exactly what Summer will bring our way, but I do hope we get to sleep in a bit.

With Four More Days Left To Go

The school year is almost finished. The kids are left with only four more days to go.

I wish that I could say that I’m ready for the long Summer, but honestly, I’m not…  My tiny kids are fighting non-stop, about everything. My biggest kid usually steers clear of the drama, but mopes at his pc or consoles.

Summer is when my seasonal affective disorder is at it’s peak. Some days are easier than others, but most days I’m left exhausted.

I am looking forward to a little bit of a break from the schedule. I’m also hoping that the kids will sleep in a bit, and quickly.

We will adjust, I know. There will be fun days, road trips, sunburns, and boredom. I really will miss the quiet though.

Almost Summer

The kids only have seven days left before Summer break.

They might be ready for Summer, but I’m not…
