Rainy Tuesday

The weather is cold and rainy today, but that is fine with me 🙂 I need a day to spend at home catching up on some cleaning tasks! Here is the plan for today:

  • Bake 12 Banana Muffins and 12 Strawberry Banana Muffins
  • Laundry Catch-Up Day!!!
  • Dishes Catch-Up Day!!!
  • Change the Boy’s Bedding
  • Start Cleaning Hubby’s Office
  • Make Turkey Stock
  • Plan this weeks lunches
  • Cross Stitch my little project, if the boy’s will let me 😉

I must admit this rainy weather is making me a little sleepy, it would be a great day to curl up on the couch and take a nice long nap. I had better do all those chores instead 😉

Soccer Snacks

On Friday Thade and I gathered the supplies, and we made Soccer Snack Bags for his game on Saturday.

O.k. when I say made snacks, I actually mean place Snacks gently in a cute bag and add a sicker. I’m still feeling a bit under the weather, and I thought it would be best to used prepared snacks, instead of baking anything and passing along my flu germs.

We set everything out on the table, and I put Thade in charge of the Apple Juice. He counted the little boxes over and over. He couldn’t wait to get to the game, and eat the snacks. We needed eleven snacks bags for the team, and I made one extra just in case.

On game day the weather was freezing, and Thade wasn’t in the mood to play Soccer, so it was a long game. Snack time was at the end of the game, and the kids were so cute, everyone was very curious about just what was in those bags. Thade was thrilled to see that we had 3 extra bags left over just for him 🙂

I really liked making the Snack bags, and I will make them again if I have to bring snacks for T-Ball. Next time though, I’ll make a batch of cookies, but stick with the Juice Boxes, Thade loved them 😉

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Ramen

Hubby came up with that title, I love it. I’ve been a little worried about the rising grocery prices, so I’m revisiting to a few of the old “inexpensive” recipes that I used to enjoy. I’m hoping my Ramen Revolution will save just a little bit more on the grocery budget.

Who doesn’t love Ramen Noodles? Probably a lot of people aren’t the biggest fan of this frugal treat, me I love Ramen. You can pick them up in a 6-pack for $1.00  just about everywhere, and with a few tasty additions, those little noodles can be delicious.

  • If you have a few Cru-de-te veggies hanging out in the Fridge they make a tasty addition any flavor Ramen Noodles
  • I’ve used Celery, Garlic Salt, Onion Powder, and Soy Sauce, along with a Packet of Beef Ramen Noodles for a fast lunch
  • Chicken Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite leftover magnets. I’ve added in BBQ Chicken, Frozen Corn, Garlic Salt, Poultry Seasoning to one Packet of Chicken Ramen Noodles for this super tasty dish
  • Next up is a Hearty Home-cooked dish of Beef Ramen Noodles with Pot Roast and Frozen Peas, just add a little Pepper and Garlic Salt, and enjoy
  • Lastly a favorite Spring-time Ramen dish of Chicken Ramen Noodles with Turkey, and Frozen Broccoli, so good

I hope that you enjoy these Ramen Noodle dishes, Happy Cooking everybody!

37 Degrees

Did I read that right?!? It is 37 degrees outside this morning, too cold for Nico. Thade has a soccer game at 9:30 a.m., and I’m in charge of snacks today. I had better bundle up the kiddos before we get out in that cold weather. I had better go and get ready too, it is going to be a busy morning.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend, and much better weather than we are having here 😉

Sign Up Day

Today is going to be a busy day, with lots of errands to be run. Today I’m signing Thade up for Tot Tee-Ball, he is pretty excited about that one. I’m also going to sign him up for Craft Camp, and Tot Day Camp too, it looks like Thade is going to have a busy Summer…

I’ve got to get ready, and get the kiddos ready too, we are picking up James at work and taking him to lunch in about an hour 😉 I’m hungry all ready.

I hope that everyone is having a great day, and that you aren’t too busy 😉
