What a happy sight! Rain clouds and cooler temps. Today the weather is amazing, and it is 74 and rainy, my kind of day. It is perfect outside.

I’ve been spotting changing leaves all over town, could it be an early Fall… I sure hope so.
We were leaving the store the other day, and the temperature was already racing towards 100. I looked down and spotted a beautiful Luna Moth. The poor little thing was stuck to the asphalt, and it wasn’t going to make it. So I gently picked it up and placed it on my shoulder, and brought it home.

The kiddos were fascinated by the Luna Moth, and wanted to keep it as a pet. I found a spot for it on the neighbor’s creeping myrtle bush, and it looked happy, well happy for a moth.

Dylan asked about the moth all day, and wanted to visit it as often as possible. It flew off though, once it had it’s strength back. He was happy with our little rescue mission.

Grumpy…

Grumpier…

and Grumpiest.
School is just a week away, and I really don’t feel ready for my big kid to go back just yet. I hope that he has had a fun Summer. It has been great having all of my kiddos home. This year Dylan is also going to school, well pre-school. He is excited and nervous too. It is hard to believe that he is ready to go to school already. I don’t know how I’ll handle that first day of school for him, he is my little sweetie. It will be different with just Agnes being home while the boys are at school, I don’t know if it is going to be that much quieter though, Agnes is the noisy one right now.
We are already getting back into the school-time routine. This week it is all about getting to bed on time, the kids are already used to getting up at 6:30 a.m. most mornings, I think they will do fine when school finally arrives. Getting everyone out the door is another thing, it takes me a bit of time to have everyone ready to go, so we’ll need to work on that one a bit more.
Today we went school supply shopping. The boy’s needed a lot of school supplies, and new backpacks too. Agnes needed a few baby items and a new car seat too. She has outgrown her little carrier seat, and has moved on to a “big girl” hot pink car seat. I installed it in the van this afternoon. I think I picked the hottest time of the day to install it, but oh well, it had to be done.
We have enrollment this week for Dylan and open house next week for Thade, and then school is back in session. I think we need to have at least one more fun daycation with the kiddos before next week arrives. Time to make some plans with my hubby, and surprise the kiddos.
