Yesterday evening Dylan and I went to a baby shower. The baby shower was at 6:30 p.m. I knew I needed to make dinner early, and have everything ready to go by 6:00 p.m.

Yesterday was also the day that Thade and Dylan both decided to take an unexpected afternoon nap. At 3:00 p.m. Thade fell asleep, and stayed asleep until 6:00 p.m. While I fixed dinner Dylan fell asleep, and stayed asleep until 6:10 p.m.  I lucked out though. I was following a friend to the baby shower,and she was running late too.

At 6:15 I did a mad scramble to make dinner for Thade, feed and change Dylan, load up the car and head out. I was only about 10 minutes late to the shower.  Dylan and I had a great time, and I got to eat lots of yummy cake too. I guess the next time I’m planning on a outing, I need to allow time for the unexpected nap 😉
