I have to say I’m a bit disappointed in myself… I have been trying really hard to drive less, and this past week I’ve completely blown it. My car is still down, but somehow I have managed to drive somewhere every single day of the week. I’ll be driving this morning and this evening too… I still can’t believe seven days of trips here and there. Oh well, I’ll try harder next week.
Dylan and Thade have wanted to get out more and go for a few walks, but it has been dangerously hot. I know that Thade really looks forward to our walks (that is him on the playground at Church) but until the weather is a bit cooler, it looks like we’ll have to drive.
What about you… Do you find yourself driving more when the weather is warmer?

Yup…swimming lessons are every day, library club is too far to walk when it’s hot (and hot for me is anything above 25C which is 75F for you…my gosh, I can’t imagine living in the temperatures you’re experiencing right now!!!). And then our playground is ‘lame’ so sometimes we take a picnic to another playground, and we have to drive.
Nicole, have I ever told you that I love that you respond to every comment? I think that’s really cool. Makes me feel like we’re having a conversation and you’re so very far away from me LOL.
Thanks Susan! 75 sounds just about perfect to me 🙂 It sounds like you have a busy Summer going on and your kids have lots of fun activities to go to. I would love to have a picnic at the park, but we have entered the too hot part of Summer, so we’ll have to wait until Fall brings the cooler temps.
You are too sweet! I really appreciate all of the comments, and I try my hardest to reply to all of them, when the boys will let me 😉 Thanks again and sending great big hugs your way!
We have been walking to the playground in the mornings before it gets too hot here, but on really hot humid days we just stay inside. Benefit of living in small town is it’s too far to justify driving somewhere!! Heather
Thanks Heather! We are stuck indoors too, the humidity makes it so hot outside. I hope that you get cooler weather soon, I bet your kids love to play at the park!
I have to agree with you too, we live in a really small town, and I have been staying local. I hope that the gas prices drop a bit, so we can go for a few day trips, and get out of the house 🙂
