Not 1 But 5

The past few days and nights have been one sleepless Mommy taking care of one super-grumpy, no-sleeping, biting baby. Yesterday his little screams of just being grumpy turned into shrieks and screams of pain. I had assumed that it was teething, as he looks like he is cutting another tooth on the bottom. I found out it was more than just one, he is also cutting 4 top teeth, no wonder he isn’t feeling too great.

I’m rotating Baby Tylenol, Baby Ibuprofen, and Baby Ora-jel, along with every single cool teether that I can come up with. He is still not feeling too great today, and I’m already on diaper change #3 (stinky). I hope those teeth come in soon, so we can have our happy Dylan back, and just maybe a full night of sleep too 😉

  1. Oh nico! I am so sorry! I know just how you are feeling though. Mason cut 8 and John 5 at one time. I could not do this (because of safety issuses having twins) but when he is in your arms let him bite on a baby toothbrush. The rubber headed type. Also, an icy wahcloth from the freezer. My boys don’t like it that cold so I would keep them in the fridge. Praying for a speedy breakthrough(no pun intended)! 😉 Blessings on you!

  2. Thanks Marva! I really appreciate the helpful suggestions, I’ll have to try the icy washcloth, as the Ora-jel just doesn’t seem to be working. I hope that your boys are feeling better too 🙂

  3. Hi Nicole! I second the idea of the frozen washcloth…..it worked great for my girls, especially dd2…..hope the little guy feels better soon 😉 Ellie

  4. Oh no, that doesn’t sound like fun at all 🙁 . Sammy is starting to bite when she nurses…I’m not sure how to handle that.

  5. Thanks Ellie! I hope that the washcloth works too 🙂 I’m hoping for a little more rest too 🙂

  6. Thanks Susan. That is a bummer about Sammy biting, I know how much that hurts. I’ve been trying to wean Dylan to a cup, because of the biting. Anytime that he bites, I usually pull him off and re-position him on the other side, it helps out a little bit. Have a great weekend!
