Nature Walks

We are going on a Nature Walk

When the weather is just right, I take the boys for a Nature Walk. It is a little walk around town, and Thade carries along a tote to pick up cool nature finds. I’ve found that a drink carrier from Sonic is the perfect size for all of his treasures, and it holds up to all of the rocks that Thade picks up too.

We stop to count the birds on a roof top, and Thade is thrilled when he finds a feather.

On this nature walk we were looking for leaves and feathers. I was planning on pressing leaves for a leaf book, and I think Thade found plenty.

The nature walk is a great way to get the kids out to enjoy some fresh air. It is also a great opportunity for Thade to learn his way around town. He is starting to recognize street signs, and he is getting pretty good at directions.

I can’t wait for all of the leaves to start changing so we can enjoy Fall Nature Walks too.

  1. Aw, what a great mama you are! I love taking little ones for walks, they get so excited over feathers and rocks. Jacob and I used to go for a walk every afternoon right after lunch. I can’t wait (well, yes I can LOL) for Sammy to be old enough to go for walks with me.

  2. Thanks Susan! You are too sweet. Thade and Dylan love to go for walks, but Dylan has to ride along in the stroller. He still has fun though. How I wish we were neighbors we could take Sammy and Dylan for walks.

We’ve been gathering items for Thade’s show and tell, and Thade has picked up just about every rock in town 😉 I have no idea what we are going to do with all of these rocks after Show and Tell.
