May’s Tasty Treats

The month of May flew by. The kiddos finished up school, and I kept busy around the house. I have several photos to share of some tasty treats from May.

I tried my hand at making Homemade Soft Pretzels for the kids. I used the breadmaker to proof the dough.

The kids really liked them. Next time I think I’ll double the batch, and make them a bit bigger.

I made a few Jell-O Cakes too. The boys finally like this cool dessert.

We made a batch of Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream too. I’ve got to make some more, and re-stock the freezer with this tasty treat.

My family surprised me with breakfast for Mother’s Day.

I made a single layer Pig Pickin’ Cake for Mother’s Day too. My family isn’t a fan of this cake, but it is one of my favorites, and since it was Mother’s Day, I thought that was o.k.

Agnes and I had a Donut party on the boy’s last day of school. We celebrated one last quiet morning.

I made a few Chocolate Bundt Cakes too.

When it was breakfast for dinner night, I made a batch of Buttermilk Biscuits. Half of the batch I served with Sausage Gravy.

The rest of the batch was made into Cinnamon Raisin Buttermilk Biscuits.

I topped them off with powdered sugar glaze. I really liked them, but again the family wasn’t a fan…

I spotted Strawberries on sale, so I made a batch of Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.

And that’s a week’s worth of shopping to keep up with my family.

I had a few Strawberries still on hand, and that calls for a big batch of Milk Chocolate Ganache.

It is just about the tastiest thing ever.

June has been busy so far. I haven’t been cooking quite as much, but I’ve been washing a ton of dishes. I’ve been having quite a time keeping up around here. I hope I’ll get caught up again soon.
