Holiday/Winter Pantry

pict0401.JPG

I’ve been searching the sales ads and stocking up for Thanksgiving, when I found out that I won’t be hosting this year. My Sister-in-law has volunteered to take over the hosting duties. I guess I will have to keep my great buys for when I host Christmas.

I had been stocking up my little microwave cabinet with:

  • Stuffing Mix found for $.88 ea
  • Green Beans and Corn for $.50 ea
  • Cake Mixes for $.82 ea
  • Chocolate Icing found for $.49 ( I combined 2 coupons fot the great deal)

I don’t know if the Chocolate Cake Mix and Icing will Make it to Christmas, I think I might have to bake a Bundt Cake in the near future 🙂

What treats and staple goods are you stockpiling for the holidays? How do you store your great buys?

  1. Hi Nicole….great job on the bargains! I went to Walgreens yesterday and used some of their hot buy coupons along with my manufacture ones…..We are having a holiday food drive at my office and thought that would be a great way to start things off…..I was SO bummed though….they were completely out of the Colgate products. 🙁 Ellie

  2. Great job Ellie! I bet you saved a bundle. Good luck with the holiday food drive too, that sounds great. Sorry to hear that Walgreens was out of the Colgate products, that is a bummer.

We went to Walgreens on Monday, and they only had one can of chicken broth left. I think I’m going to go back before Saturday, to buy some extra diapers, and see if they restocked the chicken broth 😉
