The holiday blues have struck early, and they’ve got me bad this year… The stress of the impending holiday, the family to entertain, and the lack of sleep on my part has me grumpy, grumpy, grumpy. I’ve even asked Thade to not talk about Christmas presents until after Thanksgiving, but so far that isn’t working. The “cheerful” decorations are popping up all over town, and I’m wondering what happened to celebrating Thanksgiving, and why is everyone decorating so darn early?!? I wish I could be cheerful this time of year, but it just isn’t my favorite time of year… Halloween is long gone, and that is my favorite one. Fair warning, there will be more grumpiness to come…
I completely understand……..except it is my favorite time of the year and i can’t even leave the house I still fill so lousy from the surgery. Yuck!
Hang in there Nico! Get some rest when you can and I will say a prayer for you sweet friend!
Hugs and Blessings!!
I just came back from Rite Aid and they were blasting the Christmas Carols! I even bought some candy canes to put in hot cocoa tonight for the kids.
My advice to you~Ignore the TV commercials, don’t look at store ads, and maybe you can have Thade and Dylan make some Thanksgiving crafts-turkeys from hands traced, Indian headbands from paper, and lots of drawing and coloring to dsplay on Thanksgiving.
Hang in there! It goes by fast!
Oh Nicole I will try my hardest to get you through the holiday season! Winter holidays brings on cookies and bon bons so it won’t totally be a bust.
Aw, Nico 🙁 . Life is too short to be so stressed. Sorry you’re having a hard time…I’m sending you strength vibes 🙂 .
