It is April 16th and I still haven’t gotten started on this year’s gardens. I’m beginning to think that I’m missing the window for growing yummy fruits and veggies. The weeding of the old and new flower beds hasn’t been done, and my seeds sit lonely on my desk. I hope to get this garden going, I just hope that I’m not too late!
So what about you… Have you been busy in your garden, or are you off to a late start too?
Gardening??? Are you kidding me lol??? My yard is still frozen! I tried to dig something out on the weekend and I couldn’t get the shovel 2″ beneath the surface, it’s frozen solid.

Thanks Susan! Oh no!! I’m sorry that Spring hasn’t arrived to you yet. I’m sending warm weather wishes your way. I got out and talked to a few locals, and they all said it is way too early to start the garden, and another frost is on the way. Maybe so, but they did give me a reason to procrastinate on my garden for a bit longer 😉
You can always buy the 6 packs of plants and plant them when it’s warm enough.
I have a lot of work to do in my garden, to and it’s been cold and windy.

Thanks Nana! The locals are saying that there is plenty of time to get the garden going, and plenty of time for another Frost too. I want to get out there and get the beds all cleaned out, but then I know the weather will turn again and the plants won’t make it. One of the ladies that I talked to said that she had to put out Tomatoes three times year, and the frost got them every time… Springtime in KS 😉
Thanks Mimi! I feel really behind this year when it comes to the garden, but the weather hasn’t been too cooperative… I hope to get out today for a little bit, the sun is shining, and it is almost to 70 today 😉 I hope that you have fun working in your garden too.
