I just had this feeling that today was going to be trouble. Today I need to go to the grocery store, and my car has been giving me trouble recently. Sometimes it works flawlessly and other times it misbehaves very badly and I’m happy I made it home. It has an evil electrical problem that today has gone from bad to worse.
So this morning I make the gigantic list for the grocery store, I’m stocking up for two weeks, and I get both of the kids ready to go. I load everyone into the car, into their car seats, and I turn the key, and nothing. My car won’t even turn over, and I am SUPER-MAD!!! I try to keep my cool, and not scream every obscenity in the handbook, but I am one grumpy gal. I get the kids back out of the car and we head inside. Dylan is mad too, he really wanted to get out of the house.
Thade asked why we couldn’t go to the store, and I told him that Mommy’s car is being difficult. He then says no big deal, we can walk there. Its a few miles away, but it was sweet that he was willing to walk.
I called my hubby at work, and he wasn’t mad at all, he was happy that we were home, and not stuck at Wal-Mart. He is even bringing home lunch, and I’ll swap out the car seats when he gets home. We’ll be calling around this afternoon, and seeing what we can do about my Chevy Troublemaker. I just hope it isn’t too much, and my car makes a return quickly.
Sorry to hear about your car troubles……..I’m glad you didn’t end up stuck at the store! Here’s hoping your car makes a return to the running soon 😉 Ellie
Thanks Ellie! I was glad to be at home, but mad that my car is acting awful. Hubby and I have been researching the problem online, and it looks like it is going to get pretty pricey 🙁 I just hope that it works, and my car is running safe and sound.
Poor gal, you have had a rough couple of days. I can’t write long, hubby needs my attention. For those headaches, is there a certain stress that is bothering you?? Maybe it’s hormonal? When I am on the pill, i always get migraines before my montly visitor. I had thought of acupuntual also, but was too chicken. Although when you are in that much pain, the thought of a few needles actually sounds not so bad. Hang in there!
P.s. Loved the thrift store post! Fun to see what bargins you found! I’ve been addicted to yard sales this summer, good way to meet you neighbors, get the kids out of the house, and find some cheap treasures!
wishing you wellness,Heather
Thanks Heather! My migraines are a nasty combination of stress and hormones, and they run in the family too. Oh the joys of being a girl 😉
The thrift store was pretty cool. How I wish I could find some great garage sales around here. We have city wide garage sales two times a year, and they are a lot of fun to go to. Happy shopping and treasure hunting.
