It is official, my Thade is a Preschooler! He woke up bright and early today, and he was ready to go to school. I was so nervous you would have though it was my first day of school. He ate a little bit of breakfast and then it was time to go.
There was quite a crowd at Preschool today, and many Parents and Grandparents with cameras and video cameras. Thade kept saying “Mom quit taking my picture and leave already!” He was very ready to go to school. I kept it together, but I was ready to go and pick him up as soon as it was time.
Dylan was lost without Thade though. In the car he would point at Thade’s car seat and say “my brubber”. When we came home he looked everywhere for Thade, and was so sad when Thade didn’t run over to him with big hugs. Dylan was happy when we picked Thade up from school, me too. It will take a bit of time for us to get used to the changes, but with Thade it won’t take any time at all, he loves Preschool!
Yea for Thade! I hope he had a GREAT day! He looks so grown up 🙂 My girls started today…..I was kind of sad as it was the first time I didn’t take dd1 to school on the first day (she has her own car now and took herself)! Ellie
Thanks Nana! Thade was so excited, and had such a fun day. He was a little bummed though, his best friend was still on vacation… I know that Dylan will get used to Thade being at school, today was a little tough for him though.
Thanks Ellie! Thade was so thrilled this morning and he couldn’t wait to get to school. He even picked his out outfit the night before 😉 I was a little sad when I saw him put on his backpack all by himself, he is just growing up so fast.
That is cool (but I bet tough for Mom) that your daughter is driving to school, that is a big responsibility. I bet it was a little sad too. I hope that your girls have a great year at school 🙂

Thanks Susan! Thade had so much fun at school and he can’t wait to go back tomorrow. I still can’t believe that he is actually a preschooler, it is just surreal.
