I’ve got a little more energy today, and I’ve been working on the messy living room this afternoon. It isn’t perfect, but it is a whole lot better than it was. I’ve still got the dining room to tidy up, and the kitchen to work on today too, but I’m taking it one room at a time.
I also started picking up some of the Christmas decorations. I’ve got one large bin packed already, and I’m going to start on the tree soon. The weather is better outside today too, so maybe I can get to those outdoor decorations too. Whew, I had better get back to the messes!
How about you? How is your holiday clean up going?
The holiday decorations are put away, but everything is a mess, and I think I’ll give up. At least until the kids head back to school!
My mom took Jake overnight so we took advantage of having just the baby around and took down the tree today and put away all the ornaments, lights, etc. We are headed out of town this week to visit the in-laws so it made sense to take the tree down, but we were sad to see it go. Made the place feel so homey!
I tend to just decorate my tiny living room, so taking down the decor goes pretty quickly. I think I’m glad now that I don’t have anything outside, too cold to work out there 🙂 .
No outdoor lights this year, so that is easy. The tree is hiding a missing patch of carpet so maybe I should just leave it up 🙂
All the decorations are down and put away except for the tree….dh and kids will do that on Monday! It feels good 😉 Ellie

Thanks Heather! Wow, it sounds like you are getting lots done around your house. I agree, I miss the tree when it is gone too, they are just so pretty. I don’t have our tree down just yet, Thade is bugging me to get the decorations down already 😉 Have a fun time at you in-laws and a safe trip too 🙂
Thanks Susan! I bet it is cold, we have had a bit warmer weather here, but it has been really strange. One day it was 70, the next day windy and icy around 20, and then the following day 50. I really need to get out and get the outdoor decorations cleaned up, but I’m being a bit of a slacker over here. I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas 🙂

No, not much work- we only have a very small apartment and no outside decorations- smile.. Enjoy the tree!
