My quest continues to find the perfect quick and easy dessert that my whole family will love. This time I’m making homemade Peach Crumble. I found a great recipe for the Peach Crumble, and I’ve altered it just a bit. The recipe is very simple and calls for Canned Peaches, Brown Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon, and Butter. Yep, you read that right, just five ingredients.
I added a little extra Brown Sugar and Cinnamon to the Canned Peaches, and they were so tasty. This was one fast recipe, but only Dylan and I were fans of the Crumble. James and Thade just aren’t Peach fans, oh well…
I thought that this recipe could also be made with any Fruit Pie Filling that is your favorite, and the Crumble topping would be great with just a little Oatmeal added in. I think I might have to give a Cherry Crumble or Apricot Crumble a try, with a big scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on top too. Maybe even Apple, or Blueberry, or Blackberry, o.k. time to get to the store, I’m ready for DESSERT!

That sounds like how my mom makes apple crumble, and she adds oatmeal to the crumbs, too. Yum.
Thanks Susan! I bet your Mom’s Apple Crumble is delicious 🙂 I really liked the Peach Crumble, and I hope that maybe one day Thade might just like it too 😉
Sounds yummy Nicole! That’s a great idea to vary the fruit…..quick and easy! I’ll have to give it a try 😉 Ellie
Thanks Ellie! I hope that you like the recipe, it was really easy to make. I think I’m going to try the recipe with a can (or two) of Cherry Pie Filling, and see if the rest of the family likes it better 🙂 Let me know if you give it a try.
Sounds like a great recipe, I’m going to try it! I’ll use Europe’s Best frozen peaches with Ceres 100% unsweetened peach juice.
I’m curious though — processed canned pie filling? Yuck! It’s SO much tastier (and healthier!) to stick to fresh/frozen fruit pie fillings made from scratch. 🙂
Hello, I’d like to make this pudding for my friends tonight, where can I find the measurements for the crumble topping?
Thankyou!
Thanks Jessica! I use a combination of Flour, Sugar, Butter (or margarine) and a dash or two of cinnamon. I use one stick of margarine ( 1/2 cup), 1/2 cup of White Sugar, and 3/4 cup of Flour. Combine the Sugar, Flour, add in a dash of cinnamon, and then cut in the butter. The mixture will should be crumbly, just like making pie crust. This crumble works well on pies and cobblers too.
That’s exactly how crumble should be made. No oats in the crumble topping, it ruins it! It goes lovely & gooey underneath & crunchy on top 🙂
