Yesterday to celebrate Earth Day we visited the Wildcat Glades to see Shoal Creek and enjoy the indoor animal exhibits.

Dylan loved looking at all of the fish, and Thade really liked the turtles. We ventured outdoors for just a bit, and saw a little lizard sunning on a big rock. Thade decided that it was way too hot, and he was all done with the outdoors.
We made a run to Hobby Lobby, and somehow I managed to leave the store without buying anything… weird. Since we were in Nana’s town, I thought it would be fun to surprise her with some new flowers at her house. The kids and I made a trip to a greenhouse, and found some pretty flowers. We ran back to Nana’s house, and got the plants planted just in time.
Today the weather is amazing, so I am going to go and get some new plants for our house. I think I’ll get a few Hosta to go in the Sweet Pea and Morning glory bed, and then some Impatiens for the hanging baskets too. If I can find a good price on Clematis then I’ll be planting those too.
How sweet you are planting flowers for your Mom! What a great day and how fun! Have a geat day! Blessings!!
Thanks Marva! I wanted to surprise her, and my Mom loves to garden. I had to plant quickly though, I only had about an hour before she got home from work. She really liked them too, and now she’ll think of the kiddos every time she looks at the pretty flowers 🙂
You are so cool! It sounds like you have lots of fun yesterday. We just came in from (finally) tilling the garden. Both kids were good and dirty along with me. I am ready for pretty flowers and yummy garden goodies.
Thanks Stacey! Congrats on getting your garden tilled 🙂 I never got out to get my plants yesterday, but I am definitely ready to garden too 🙂
