I think I’m finally all finished with the indoors, but the outdoors are another story. There are plenty of lights that still need to be hung, but the weather is a little too cold for me to be doing that today.
We have lots of little Christmas touches all around the house. There are plenty of Christmas Stockings for Santa to fill too.
The boy’s have a Little Tree in their room, topped with one of their favorite NASCAR ornaments. They both really love the Christmas lights at night.
How are you doing with your Christmas decorating? Are you all ready for the Holiday season, or are you waiting to start decorating for just a little bit more?

We’re decorating today. I would love to have lights in the front yard but there is no stinkin’ outlet there. Maybe next year. Can’t wait to get my Christmas village up today!
I love your tree by the banister, very pretty! And I love, love, love the woodwork in your house…love older houses for that.
Nico help!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you keep the cats off the tree and ornaments I am new to owning a cat and don’t know what to do I am constantly picking the tree back up and rearranging ornaments( at least ones that have not been broken) or chewed light cords grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Help need suggestions
Vicki
Thanks Susan! I hope that you are having fun decorating your home too. I hope to see some pictures of your Christmas Village 🙂
We love the woodwork too, Victorian era homes are some of my favorites. We have a lot of 1800’s era homes in our town, and how I wish I could tour them all 🙂
Thanks Vicki! I feel your pain, once the Christmas Tree goes up in our house, my kitties go CRAZY!!! They love to chew the Christmas Tree 😉 Thanks to many late night broken ornaments, I use the plastic non-breakable ornaments on the Christmas Tree, it is safer for the kiddos too.
One thing that you might try is squirting your Christmas tree loving Kitty-Cat with a water gun, anytime you see him chewing on the tree. My cats both respond to me clapping and saying “No Tree”.
I hope that your Christmas Tree and Ornaments make it through the Christmas season 🙂
That’s a cute nascar tree!
Our tree is up and the looking good. My daughter has a pink foil tree in her room and my son has a red foil tree. I put wreaths outside and will make a dollar store run for those humongous red bows to tie around our trees in the yard. I have the big plastic candy canes all around the yard and sidewalk, but I don’t want to put up outdoor lights because I think they use too much electrcity.
Christmas decorating is Fun!
Thanks Mimi! Oh how I wish I had a pink tree, they are my favorite! It sounds like you are all ready for Christmas at your house 🙂 I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season 🙂
What fun to read about everyone’s tree decorations. I was going to comment too about your pretty woodwork! We got out tree this past weekend, very small this year b/c of the boys. I don’t want it to fall down on them. I’m supposed to be deocrating the apartment today but other “to do” things are keeping me busy! Last night the boys sat on Santa’s lap!! Too cute, and I got pics!
Thanks Heather! It sounds like you and your boy’s are ready for Christmas! Have fun decorating too 🙂 I’m still working on the outdoor decorations, I hope to be done one of these days 😉
That is so great that you got pics of your boys with Santa. Only Thade would sit on Santa’s lap this year, Dylan was way too scared!
