One Day To Go!!!!!

I am so excited! Tomorrow James and I are off to the Busch Race, and then on Sunday its the Nextel Cup Race! This is our second Nextel Cup Race, and Busch Race too. I can’t wait to go. Last year we found tickets for the Busch Race in KS, and we happily spent our 5th Anniversary (a little early) at the Nextel Cup Race in Talladega AL.

I still have a lot to get done around here, so I had better get to it. Here is the plan for today:

  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Pack 3 coolers
  • Get gas for my car
  • Vacuum the living room
  • Wash and put away clean dishes
  • Empty all of the downstairs and upstairs wastebaskets
  • Take out the trash
  • Go to the ATM, gotta have some cash for NASCAR gear
  • Try to get in a little rest (I only clocked in 3 hours last night)
  • Charge the cell phones and the digital camera

I’m going to be pretty busy today, and James might be taking off work a little early so he can help out too. I hope that everybody has a great weekend!

Glamping, maybe I could do this

As you all should know by now I am not an outdoors girl, at all. I’ve even thought about putting down astro– turf in the backyard to avoid the dirt of the outdoors. Today I was watching the news and I saw a story about Glamping, or Glamouros Camping. It is big in the United Kingdom, and is becoming more popular in the United States too.

You stay in a beautifully decorated “tent” complete with wifi, electricity, indoor plumbing, and even a personal chef. You get to sleep on the finest bedding with big fluffy pillows, no dirty sleeping bag on dirty ground. I think it is a great idea, but it is a bit pricey. This definitely sounds like my kind of camping!

Home Again

We are back from vacation, and we all had a great time. Thade behaved surprisingly well, and he loved staying in a hotel. The hotel we stayed at had a waffle bar, and Thade was happy that they had toast. We got to do some sightseeing, and visited the zoo. James and Thade got to feed a giraffe, it was so amazing. We toured one of my favorite caves, and got in a little shopping too. I had plenty of Starbucks, and we got to see one of my favorite racers stock car. It was a great trip, and I think that we are going to plan a few more. We got in some great family time, and we all got to relax a little too.

Vacation

Tomorrow we leave for a mini-vacay. My hubby has a business meeting on Friday, and Thade and I are tagging along. This will be Thade’s first vacation, and hotel stay. I hope that he has fun, and behaves too. We are planning on taking him to the zoo if the weather cooperates. I’m just happy to get in a little break away from the house. We have a long drive ahead of us, but I’m totally packed and well prepared with cookies and juice boxes. I’m off for a few days, to rest, relax, and eat some yummy take-out!

Vacation (finally!)

I am so excited my husband is finally getting a much needed break from work. Tomorrow we get to start our vacation, we are going house hunting, and I think we are going to do some shopping later in the week! He really needs a break from work, and I think that it will be fun getting to spend more time with each other. Just in case I don’t get back online before the holiday– Happy Thanksgiving to all!
