Shopping Trip

I woke up extra early this morning, got my shower, and the coffee is brewing as I’m typing. Both of the boys are still sleeping away, and so is my hubby. I’m trying to get a plan together for all of the things that I need to get purchased and accomplished today. I’ve got my bags packed, and I  have a few chores to get finished before we can go.

I wish that I was finishing my Christmas shopping today, but I don’t think that is going to happen. Today I must find an anniversary gift for my husband, and a few birthday gifts too. Thade already has a gift in mind for Dad’s Birthday, but I don’t know what Dylan will pick out 🙂 Look out Target here we come!

My mom is also going to take us out to lunch today to Panera Bread my very favorite place to eat. I’m ready to go now, the soup in a sour dough bread bowl is calling my name.

To Go List

I always pack extra whenever I’m taking the kids anywhere. Two unpacked outings while Thade was teething taught me to bring that extra set of clothes, just in case 😉 My trusty Dale Jr soft sided cooler is a little cramped with all of the boy’s items, so I’m switching to a bigger bag. I thought it would be fun to share my list of items I’m packing.

My two bags: One diaper bag to carry, and an extra bag filled with items that I might need. Continue reading »

Road Trip

My darling husband James has been working open to close ( 6:45 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday) for a week solid, and he is so tired and needs a day off. This weekend I’m taking the boy’s on a little trip to see my mom (Nana) so James can have an entire day of peace and quiet. I also have another reason for this trip, James birthday and our anniversary are coming up soon, so I need to do some shopping too. No screaming baby for Daddy and shopping for me sounds pretty good.

This is the first time that I have taken both of the boys to Nana’s by myself, so I need to start planning and packing today. The trip is just over an hour, but you never know how Dylan is going to do in the car, or how many times I’ll need to stop and change him. I need to have extra changes of clothes for both kids, pull-ups, diapers, wipes, and snacks for Thade. Better make a list so I don’t forget anything 😉

I hope that the trip goes well, and I hope my hubby enjoys the well deserved break. Does anybody have any plans for the weekend?

What a Crazy Weekend!

We are back from the races, and I’ll have my pictures up soon. James and I had a great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet of 40+ roaring engines. Both of the races were so exciting.

At the Bush Race I got a little sun burned, well more like a lot of sun burned. I was hoping one of my favorite drivers Matt Kenseth would get the win, he finished a close 2nd. Kyle Busch took the win, with a very very very close finish.

The Nextel Cup race had 2 rain delays and some pretty severe storms. It was also freezing, but that didn’t keep us from watching the finish. Kevin Harvick took the lead after the second rain delay, so James was super happy about that! The race was called early and Greg Biffle took the win.

We can’t wait to go again next year. Next time I think I need to find a stronger sun-block 😉

Busch Race Here We Come!

YAHOO!!! Vacation is finally here! James and I have been up since 5:30 a.m., and we are ready to go. The only bad part, yesterday I came down with a nasty cast of tonsillitis. Oh well they can’t hear me yelling for them any way 😉 Go Harvick!!!!!
