Catch Up Day

Yesterday my mom was in town visiting, so I took the day off. No dishes, no laundry, no cleaning. Today I have a giant pile of dishes, huge loads of laundry, and cleaning that needs to be done. Here is the plan for today:

  • Wash 3 loads of laundry
  • Pack James lunch for tomorrow
  • Wash and put away clean dishes
  • Clean the  litter box (super yuck)
  • Empty upstairs wastebaskets
  • Take out the trash
  • Go shopping for Milk (forgot to buy yesterday)

Dylan is teething like crazy, and feeling pretty yucky at the moment. He was up all night chewing on his little fists. I don’t expect to get too much done today with Dylan feeling so crummy. Thade woke up in a grumpy mood too, I think it is just going to be one of those days.

Much Better Today

Its funny how one major awful headache one day can make you feel so much betterand motivated the next day. Today I’m feeling better, and just in time too. There is much to be done today, and the weather looks like it is going to be cooler too.

Here is the plan for today:

  • Go to the post office, buy stamps, mail bills, and check the P.O. Box
  • Go to Wal-Mart (re-stock hubby’s office fridge)
  • Go to Dollar General (if I have time too)
  • Drive by Walgreens and hope that they have opened
  • Bake a double batch of Banana Muffins
  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Empty all of the wastebaskets, and take out the trash

We’ll see what I get done today, and if the boys cooperate too. Thade woke up in quite a grumpy mood this morning, and Dylan is already back asleep for an early nap.

Monday’s To Do

Dylan is snoozing away, and Thade is watching his new favorite show Yo! Gabba Gabba. There is lots that I need to be doing, but for now I’m going to rest a little bit too.

Here is the plan for today…

  • Dishes
  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Empty all of the wastebaskets, and take out the trash
  • Rework my end of the month menu. We both had the flu last week so we ate mostly soup. I have lots to choose from in my stockpile
  • Go to the post office
  • BUY MILK!

We are all feeling lots better around here. Dylan turned 5 months yesterday, he is getting so big. Thade is having lots of fun being the entertaining big brother, and making Dylan laugh. I had better get to it, while I have a couple of free moments.

The Housework is piling up

Well my week of getting lots of things accomplished have crashed and burned. I have seriously done absolutely nothing. Both of the boys are skipping naps, and mommy has no time to turn around. Dylan must be growing because he is still eating every two hours, and the exhaustion of the constant nursing is catching up with me.

Here is what I need to be doing:

  • Take out the trash
  • Wash the gigantic pile of dishes
  • Wash 3 loads of laundry
  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Vacuum the living room
  • Clean just about every surface top to bottom, as everything at the moment is covered with toddler toys

I hope to get something done today. My hubby is working till close. I need to have dinner and a cold glass of iced tea ready for him when he makes it in. Lets all keep out fingers crossed that the boys will take a nap today, and mommy can catch up on the neglected house.

What to do this Weekend

When it is going to be 100 degrees outside and a heat index of 107, I think we are going to be indoors this weekend. So what is the plan? I’m cleaning the kitchen, that should take a while. I’m also making some snacks for us to munch on during the race tomorrow. I have four loads of laundry that need put away, and all of the wastebaskets need emptied again. I’m also going to take stock of the freezers and work those found items in to next weeks menu. I need to gather up my coupons and make a shopping list too . I think I’m going to try and get a few sewing projects done too, a new top for me, and new place mats for the dining room. It looks like the weekend is going to be busy, even if we don’t leave the house.

What projects are you doing around the house when it is too hot outside?
