Shopping Trip

Halloween hasn’t happened yet, but it is already Christmas at our local Supercenter. Today as we approached the entrance of the store I could see a giant Christmas tree where there were costumes just last week. Thade spotted the tree too, and then the questions started, is it Christmas, and where are my presents.

I was there to get a costume for Dylan. I know I’m so last minute, but until today I hadn’t found anything that I really liked. I went through the last rack of costumes, hoping for the best. I lucked out and  found an adorable “baby calf” costume. I think it is fitting, since Dylan is a big milk drinker at the moment 😉

Thade is getting really excited about tomorrow, and is ready to get his costume on today. I hope he can make it until tomorrow.

Puppets on My Feet

I have this awesome pair of chunky-funky blue socks that are perfect for cold weather toes, they also make perfect sock puppets for Thade. I had let him borrow one for a puppet a few weeks ago. Once he was finished playing puppets, I returned the sock to my drawer. Last night I thought it was a perfect opportunity to moisturize my toes, and I got out the socks. I still had them on this morning, which was a good thing, because it was a little chilly.

Once Thade was up and going, I went in to check on him. Thade looked at my feet, and gave me the strangest look. He said “Mom, why are you wearing my puppets?” I couldn’t stop laughing, my Thade has quite a memory, and he wanted his puppets back. I guess its time to wash the puppets and return them to their rightful owner for a puppet show.

Monday Errands

Well the shopping will have to be done a little later. Today Thade noticed that a brand new episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! would be on, so we gotta stay home and catch that. He loves this show. Today there was a great ska song about cleaning up. It was called “Pick It Up”. It was so cute, and hey who doesn’t love a song about cleaning? The show today keeps getting better Tony Hawk is teaching everybody how to skateboard, love it. Now we may never get the errands run.

We have to go to the store, and my list is HUGE. I’m buying a few meals ahead for next week( James is off on Monday), and getting all of our supplies for the NASCAR races this weekend ( sun block, ear plugs). It is going to be a pricey outing 🙁 I also have to run to the post office. We’ll see what I can get done today, I’ve still got a yucky headache. I had better go and make lunch, so that way I’m not too tempted to buy too many snacks.
