Six years ago today I started a little blog called NicoStuff.com. So many things have happened since that very first post.

June seemed to be the month where I was constantly saying to myself, I should have taken a picture… Hopefully I’ll do better in July. I do have a few photos to share with you.
We visited The Fort on the first day of Summer, and there were lots of wildflowers in bloom.

I don’t know the name of this little guy, but it looks like a giant dandelion that has gone to seed.

Indian paint brushes are one of my very favorite wildflowers.

The tall prairie grass was fun for the kiddos to explore.

I love the look on Agnes’s face. It’s tricky taking pictures of all of the kiddos.

I had a few favorite photos from the parade.

This lady was too cool for words, overalls, straw in her mouth, so awesome.

We visited the Good ‘Ol Days, and it was so hot the kids didn’t complain about having to share a lemonade.

Thade lost his 2nd front tooth, he was beyond excited.

Agnes making a mess with her Cheerios.

Dylan at the Fort, he loves that place.

Last but not least a picture of the kitty, because there aren’t enough cats on the internet.
Time to get some photos for July. It is too hot already, so I don’t know just how many of those will be outdoors.
Looking back at my camera roll for the month, I seemed to have missed most of the month. May was crazy and my mind was on one thing, getting the kiddos out of school and home for the Summer. I got a few cool photos though, and hopefully in June, I’ll have a few more.

In May we got the garden up and going. I seriously love tiny okra plants, they are too cute.

I took this one while we were out for a walk, it is one of my favorite landmarks in town. The steeple is so tall it is cutting through the clouds.

It’s a rare photo of the kiddos, all 3, all together in one photo.

Sneaky little Agnes.

The boys being adorable and watching Uncle Rob’s video for the seventh time.

This last one is the tree from our bedroom window. I used the Hipstamatic app on my phone and the screen on the window makes the tree look like needlepoint.
My stomach still hurts, and my eyes burn red from tears, but I just need something happy again.

Seeing Dylan with his favorite umbrella always makes me smile.

My cat thinking he is brave enough to jump out the window and get those birds two stories below, makes me giggle.

Watching my kiddos play and laugh so loudly will always make me smile.

Seeing Thade being his adorable hipster self makes me happy.

Watching my kiddos get big squishy hugs from their amazing Dad, well that makes me beyond happy.

I’m happy when I capture that rare moment, a giant smile from Agnes on camera. She is pretty sneaky with her big smiles.

And one more cute cat photo, because you know there just aren’t enough cat pictures on the internet, and that makes me smile.
I know it is tough right now, with so much sorrow, and so much worry, and fear, but we must smile for just a moment. We have to count our blessings, and make a little note of just how lucky we really are.
It makes me happy when I think of all of you for praying your endless prayers, and kind friendships too. I just can’t say thank you enough for lifting my spirits, and keeping Joplin on your mind too. It means more to me than you will ever know.
So share with me something that makes you happy. I know that we can all use a smile right about now.
The month of April flew by, and it seems like we are already in the middle of May. I’m growing anxious for the school year to be over, and grabbing some time with my kiddos during the lazy days of Summer. I’ve got a few favorite pictures to share from April, and my camera has already been busy this month.

I took this photo at the walking trail on a very chilly morning.

My cat, keeping me company as I fold the laundry.

This one was also taken at the walking trail, on another chilly morning.

Dylan at the walking trail lake, he loves the outdoors.

One of our little lilac bushes, a happy addition to the new garden.

The little miss playing behind a chair. She is being sneaky.

Hey, it’s Thade! He was really excited to dye Easter eggs.

We have lots of new flowers in the backyard… There are red and yellow lilies,

tiny yellow blossoms,

snapdragons,

and tiny petunias too. I just love those itty-bitty blossoms
