Around The Garden: September
The weather is cool in the morning, and hot in the afternoon. How I wish Autumn would just make up it’s mind, and stay cool. We are wrapping up the Summer gardening season, and I have a few photos to share from our neck of the woods.
I love the wild honeysuckle that is finally growing in the backyard. Honeysuckle is one of my favorite flowers.
The kids picked the last of the tomatoes from our overgrown vines.
The tomatoes have grown up over the fence, and even through the fence. We have had an amazing crop of tomatoes this year.
The weather finally cooled off for just a bit, and we were outdoors in the evening. The kids would play in the yard, and I spent some time relaxing on the back porch.
A very curious grasshopper paid me a visit.
I also had a little chickadee come by and perch on the porch. I think this has to be one of Cupcake and Biscuits grown chicks, it was so cute, and very tame.
My mom surprised me with a visit and beautiful orange Mums for the front yard.
We had some rain, and then the tomatoes surprised us with another crop that needed picked.
Agnes and I picked tomatoes for a good twenty minutes. She was so proud of her tomato plants.
They were a beautiful batch of tomatoes indeed.
Hello Luna… Saturday mornings have started way too early over here. I take Thade to school for debate tournaments, and we have to be there around 6:15 a.m., I miss catching just another hour or two of sleep on the weekends.
Favorite Photos from September
September was one of those months that was very long, but seemed to go by in a flash. There was so much going on with the kid’s schools that it was tough to keep everything straight.
I have a few of my favorite photos to share with you from the hectic month of September.
I finally stopped by my favorite local antique shop, and spotted this cute little Pyrex that was in my budget. I also spotted a lot of other Pyrex that wasn’t in my budget.
The weather is flip-flopping between cold and hot, and Jinx has discovered that she really hates the cold. She is indoors full time, but she still doesn’t like the 40 degree mornings.
I finally have wild honeysuckle growing in the backyard! It grows all over town, and in the evening you can smell the blossoms everywhere you go. It has made it’s way to my backyard, and I love it so.
The kids have been outdoors more now that the weather is a little better. In the cool evenings Dylan and Agnes play catch, or soccer in the front yard. He is trying to teach her how to throw a perfect spiral.
