Last night it was Dylan’s turn with the stomach virus that has been making its way through the house. Poor little guy is home today, but happy curled up on the big chair. He was so sad this morning when I told him that he wouldn’t be able to go to preschool today… He loves going to school.
I really hope he feels better soon, I think I have had sick kiddos for the last three weeks… At least it’s Friday.
Last weekend Thade had a miserable cold. His cold also happened on a three day weekend which was a bummer. Well Dylan and Agnes have finally caught it, and they are miserable…
Dylan has aches, fever, and coughs. He is more pale than usual, and says his head hurts so bad…
Agnes has coughs, fever, and extreme toddler-rage. She is ten kinds of miserable…
Oh goodness this is going to be a long week…
School is out today, and we have absolutely nothing planned, and it is absolutely fantastic.
So I’ll he hanging out with these three, and this guy too,
and enjoying a day away from the usual Monday.
Yesterday I finally got my sewing machine out. I haven’t been able to complete a sewing project since Agnes arrived, and she was really curious about the sewing machine. I was happy that I remembered how to thread it.
I found some super cool fabric that was hidden in my closet. It was going to be a curtain for one of the upstairs windows, but I decided it might look cool on the front door. I used to former front-door cream colored curtain as a liner, it has really helped to block out the late afternoon sunlight. I loved how this project turned out. The only bad part is now I want to paint.
Just yesterday the weather was cooperating, and we hadn’t really had Winter weather just yet.
Last night the temperature dropped quickly, and the Winter weather has arrived.
So needless to say, it is cold, and even though I’ve got two layers on, I’m so cold.
Yeah, I’m not a fan of Winter weather at all. I don’t like to venture out in it, I don’t like to drive in it, I just don’t care for it…
It snowed a little bit, but it melted into ice. It wasn’t enough to cancel school, but it was enough to spin your tires on if you drove too quickly.
Even the kitty is chilly. He and Dylan have been hanging out by the warm heater vents all morning.
The little ones are having fun though. They have been playing farm, and trucks, and we are making snowflake shaped sugar cookies this afternoon. Maybe running the oven all day will warm me up a bit.
