September’s Favorite Photos

September was a busy month. We were back to school in full-swing, and all three kids were getting used to the morning routine. I was keeping busy in the kitchen, and working on a few projects too. It was a fun month, but it was a blur. Here are some of my favorite photos from September.

Thade earned his Blue belt in Tae Kwon Do. I’m super proud of my big kid.

Dylan has been all smiles. He absolutely loves kindergarten. He wants to go seven days a week.

Agnes turns three in October. She is talking non-stop, and my goodness, she is one busy toddler.

All three, and cheerful.

We’ve spotted a few sure-signs of Fall.

We went to one of our favorite fall festivities, the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta parade.

We enjoyed some tasty treats too.

We had some lovely late-season blooms.

I like these blossoms too.

Miss Mia keeps growing, she has become quite the barker too.

The big kitty will be 13 in November…

We’ll see what October brings our way.

Sick Day

What a weekend… Our heater is on the fritz, the plumbing is acting up, and no one is feeling too well… I’m keeping the kiddos home from school today, and I hope this tummy-bug is out of here tomorrow. Let’s also hope that the heater-guy, and plumber can stop by too. It looks like it is going to be another long day over here.

Happy Monday!

September’s Tasty Treats

I was busy in the kitchen all September…

I wasn’t feeling too good at the start of the month. I was getting a cold, so I made some homemade soup.

I got to make a Donut run for my hubby’s office. I love to visit the local donut shop.

Later in the month, I had a cookie catering gig. I made lots of cookies and brownies.

The kids have been super hungry when they get home from school. They have been eating everything in the house. I made up some Whoopie Pies for after-school snacks, and lunch-box treats too.

I need to make these more often.

I made homemade pizza too. This is always a family favorite.

I made a few cherry pies too. I like mine warm out of the oven with vanilla ice cream.

I made several batches of brownies in September too. This batch I baked in a few different pans to see which one everyone liked the best. They like the rectangle ones, I liked the mini-muffin sized ones.

The cherry pie didn’t last too long…

I made some Chocolate Chip cookies too, some went to my hubby and his co-workers, and some were for home.

To celebrate the arrival of Fall, I made a pumpkin pie.

Man, I love Pumpkin Pie.

So does Dylan.

I also made a Peach Pie. It is one of my favorites.

Thade had a buddy over to play, so I made some cookies for the kiddos.

One Saturday I baked all day. A few loaves of bread, some cookies, and another cherry pie too.

James and I had the cherry pie for a late night snack. So good.

Clutter Check-In

This year I have been cleaning house. I have been focusing on getting rid of the clutter. I’ve been keeping track of my progress too…

  • January 507 items
  • February 481 items
  • March 55 items
  • April 343 items
  • May 300 items
  • June 178 items
  • July 266 items
  • August 156 items
  • September 139 items

If I’ve done my math correctly, I’ve removed 2,425 pieces of clutter from the house. I have a few months left, and there is still clutter to tackle. We’ll see how the rest of the year wraps up.

Old Items, New Home

I love to yard sale, and hit the thrift stores too. I’ve found a lot of fun items that I’ve used to decorate our house.

I spotted these vintage pillow cases at a fantastic sale. They were priced just right too. Agnes loves them on her bed, she calls them her flower-bed.

I’m waiting for a cold day to wear this super-cool jacket. Right now it is chilling out on a chair, just waiting for the weather to change.

This little quilt ventures all over the house. It was a $5.00 buy at a yard sale, and it looks cute draped over the big blue chair. I think it is going to come in handy when Winter hits.

I love this little photo under the stairs. It was a $.50 buy at a yard sale. I think it’s cute.

I picked up this book at a sale too. I remember reading it to my brother when he was little. I think my kiddos will like it too.

A yard-sale find shirt, and Halloween waxed lips from Grandma.

Lastly Agnes spotted this kitty at a sale, and it had to come home with us. Agnes has become quite the yard sale fan too.
