Another Rainy Day

It looks like we are going to be in for quite a while. I’ve been racking my brain trying to keep Thade busy around the house while we are rained in. I don’t know how much longer the crayons and giant paper are going to hold his attention.

Dylan is so grumpy today and is gnawing at my shoulder as I am typing. The trusty orajel seems to have no effect on him today. So today I have a screaming-chewing baby, and a bored- screaming (at your little brother so he will stop screaming) toddler. Thank goodness my hubby is taking off early today 🙂

Almost Finished

O.k. I needed a little break from all of the running around today (four stops so far). We got the second trip of shopping finished just before the rains hit, but I did not get the trash out in time. I’m also making a change in my dinner menu. I found some great produce buys so I stocked up on fresh fruits and veggies. Tonight I’m going to be making B-B-Q Chicken, Corn on the Cob, and Fried Okra. My hubby has been requesting okra for quite a while, and the store finally had it. Let’s see if Thade likes the veggies 😉

September’s To Do List

This month I have decided to get a few projects (that should have been done a long time ago) finished. I’m using only what I have on hand, and trying hard not to purchase anything new for redecorating. With a whole month, I hope to get these projects completed:

  • Clean and organize the boy’s closet
  • Clean, organize, and paint my closet
  • Clean and decorate foyer
  • Clean and organize kitchen
  • Clean and organize utility room

I’m going to be tagging unused items for a garage sale. Its funny now that I have two boys with lots of clutter, I want to live in a minimalist home 😉

August Coupon Savings

Lat month I did pretty good saving with coupons at the store. My monthly total was $28.23. That brings my year to date total up to $218.09. We’ll see how I do budgeting and saving this month.

Where are the coupons?

Its Sunday paper day, and usually I have some great coupons to clip and save. Today there are no coupons to be found in the paper, bummer. Walgreens looks like they have some pretty good Labor Day deals though.

Here is what caught my eye:

Walgreens Baby Care (shampoo, lotion) Buy 1 get 1 FREE

Walgreens Baby Wipes 2 for $2.99

Walgreens Diapers and Training Pants 2 for $11.98

Walgreens Laundry Detergent 2 for $3.99 (I use the Free and Clear Brand)

TUF Paper Towels 2 for $1.00 (limit 4) must use store coupon

I really hope that our Walgreens opens this week! Gas prices went up again $3.09, so I’m trying to stay local, and save some gas money.
