It Is The Big 28 For Me Today :)

Yep its my birthday 🙂 The big 28!

We don’t have too many plans for today, but I will be in the kitchen attempting a 4 Layer Cake for tomorrow! Dylan did gave me a cool gift, he slept through the entire night last night (no nursing), so I got a solid 7 hours of sleep 🙂 I think I’m going to sneak out of the house today and leave the kids with my hubby and do a little shopping. James is treating us all to dinner at my favorite restaurant tonight, so no cooking for me!

Tomorrow we are having a little party, and all of the family over to watch the Daytona 500. If Matt Kenseth (#17) or Jimmie Johnson (#48) wins this race, it will be a great birthday weekend for me 🙂  On a side note James is hoping Kevin Harvick (#29) wins this one again, and Dylan agrees with him. Thade is favoring Carl Edwards (#99), or maybe his other favorite Kasey Kahne (#9).  It looks like it is going to be a fun weekend 🙂

What a Crazy Weekend!

We are back from the races, and I’ll have my pictures up soon. James and I had a great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet of 40+ roaring engines. Both of the races were so exciting.

At the Bush Race I got a little sun burned, well more like a lot of sun burned. I was hoping one of my favorite drivers Matt Kenseth would get the win, he finished a close 2nd. Kyle Busch took the win, with a very very very close finish.

The Nextel Cup race had 2 rain delays and some pretty severe storms. It was also freezing, but that didn’t keep us from watching the finish. Kevin Harvick took the lead after the second rain delay, so James was super happy about that! The race was called early and Greg Biffle took the win.

We can’t wait to go again next year. Next time I think I need to find a stronger sun-block 😉

One Day To Go!!!!!

I am so excited! Tomorrow James and I are off to the Busch Race, and then on Sunday its the Nextel Cup Race! This is our second Nextel Cup Race, and Busch Race too. I can’t wait to go. Last year we found tickets for the Busch Race in KS, and we happily spent our 5th Anniversary (a little early) at the Nextel Cup Race in Talladega AL.

I still have a lot to get done around here, so I had better get to it. Here is the plan for today:

  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Pack 3 coolers
  • Get gas for my car
  • Vacuum the living room
  • Wash and put away clean dishes
  • Empty all of the downstairs and upstairs wastebaskets
  • Take out the trash
  • Go to the ATM, gotta have some cash for NASCAR gear
  • Try to get in a little rest (I only clocked in 3 hours last night)
  • Charge the cell phones and the digital camera

I’m going to be pretty busy today, and James might be taking off work a little early so he can help out too. I hope that everybody has a great weekend!

The Best Day on T.V.

Oh yes, tomorrow is the Daytona 500, and I can’t wait. Just in case you didn’t know I am hopelessly addicted to NASCAR, and I will be glued to the T.V. tomorrow, screaming at the top of my lungs for my favorite drivers! I am so excited, it has been a long off season. I wish that I was at the race, the weather is so much warmer there.

Start Your Engines

O.k., some of you may not know this, but I am addicted to NASCAR. Its true, and February is way too far away for me. I bought my husband a copy of S.I., it was the NASCAR edition, and I think I have read it more than him. I’m already picking my drivers to follow, and shopping for a NASCAR bowling ball, cause I know that I’ll improve my game this year.
