Finally we have our mower back. I ended up calling back the repair shop, and getting a little grumpy (which I’m no good at), but trying to explain that 3 weeks is a little crazy for a tune up and pull cord to be placed on a mower. Of course I was told good luck trying to find someone else to fix the ancient mower, and I said fine we’ll be by to pick up the mower that evening (Tuesday). Mysteriously I received a phone call just a few hours later, (again Tuesday) our mower was completely fixed and ready to be picked up. How strange the first phone call said that it would be a few more days… Either way we are happy just to have the mower back and ready to go. Now I just have to go and get gas…

The Calling Continues
I’ll catch you up on all of the details… Over two weeks ago we took in our Push Mower to have a new handle placed on the pull-start, an engine tune-up, and to have the blade sharpened. We left the mower and we were told to call back in a few days and the mower would be ready, at $30.00 no less. Two weeks + later…
We have waited and called waited and called for OVER TWO WEEKS!!! Still no answer at the business, still no mower. We ended up calling our Lawn Guy to come by and mow the Front and Back Yard and guess what it was $30.00, and it needs to be done again, so there will go another $30.00 ; ) GRRRRR! I’m going to call the Repair Shop (again) today and hope for the best, but I’m tempted to just forget it and buy a new mower and be done with it all!
Why does the lawn have to be so much trouble?
UPDATE: I finally spoke with the elusive Lawn Mower Repair Guy and he says to call back in a few days and maybe the mower will be ready then. I GIVE UP!!!
Oh Hail NO!
Wow this has been one day of wacky weather. This afternoon the sun was shining bright, and all of the sudden there was a very loud sound on the roof, it was hailing! Thade ran to the door, and we watched the hail hit against the cars. When the storm had passed I ran out to collect a few of the marble sized hail, and let Thade check them out.
This evening it has been severe storm warnings, and tornado watches. Around 4 tornadoes touched down about an hour and a halfย south of us and the storms did major damage. We still have some awfully high winds this evening. I hope that the bad weather stays away, and so do those tornadoes!
Pics from the Trip To Nana’s
Last weekend we visited my Mom, and we had a blast. Thade enjoyed eating lunch at Cici’s Pizza, he cleared three plates. I’ve never seen him eat so much, it was pretty tasty though ๐ I’m glad that he had extra energy for the day, we were going to be taking a little hike at a local park.
Nana wanted to visit Wildcat Glades, it is one of her favorite places. It is a beautiful park, with lots of trails, and it was free to visit too!
The Wildcat Glades Visitor center is a beautiful Eco-friendly facility, that uses Geothermal heating, promotes recycling, and also has a green roof filled with pretty plants. When we made our way indoors we found terrariums and aquariums with local fish, lizards, and turtles too.
There are many hands on activities for kids. Thade loved all of the giant animals to crawl around on.
The trails and scenery are beautiful and a few of the Dog Wood Trees were still in bloom. The weather was perfect for a nice walk.
Thade had fun throwing rocks into the creek with Nana, but Dylan thought it was a little too bright to be outdoors ๐
My favorite parts of the park were the beautiful purple wild flowers that blossomed everywhere. I also loved the giant rock in the middle of the creek, it was huge. The Spring was beautiful as well.
We will have to visit the Wildcat Glades again soon! Thade has been talking non-stop about just how much fun the trip was. We all had a great day at the park ๐
Funny Sign
We were on our way home from picking up dinner when I spotted a funny sign. It was on a gas station’s marquee and it read “Need a Hug, Come Inside”. With gas prices as high as they are ($3.54 here) who doesn’t need a hug ๐
