Sunday Stills: Ten Years

This month sometime between Christmas and Thade’s first birthday we moved to our little town ten years ago. At first the move to me didn’t quite fit, now I love to call this little town my home…

Thrifted Finds

Last Saturday we visited a few favorite local shops in support of Small Business Saturday. I came across some pretty great finds, and most of them were 10%-50% off too.

I got a few pieces of Pyrex to add to the kitchen collection.

I also came across this cute little coffee cup that matches a set of yard sale plates.

I picked up a lot of other items too. It was a lot of fun to do some shopping, and support some pretty fantastic businesses too.

So Long

I have been growing out my hair for the last two years, and it was definitely time to donate it to Locks of Love.

My hair was past my waist.

I made an appointment with Kat at my very favorite place.

I was so excited. This is my third time donating my hair.

One ponytail and a few snips later.

I love it! Kat did an awesome job, and my hair is fuller and darker too. She even gave me some pretty cute bangs. She is awesome!

It is a big change, but I am so happy about it!

City Wide Yard Sale

Last weekend was our town’s City Wide Yard Sale. We hit the sales early this year, and came home with some pretty cool finds.

We stopped of at a sale close to our home, and we found lots of dishes. I loved this little picnic basket. It ended up being full of yarn.

It had to come home with me. I found some more yarn at another sale on Saturday, so I decided to start a messy blanket for the living-room.

We spent a lot of time out at the sales on Saturday. We filled the mini van and only spent around $30.00, not too shabby.

We came home with lots of clothes, stuffed animals, dishes, Bundt pans, game pieces, holy moly the Summer daybed was packed.

We had a great time at the sales this year. We were way under budget, and we met a lot of cool people around town too. Now I just need to clean out the kids closets, and have one of my own.

Visiting Redbud

Friday we were up early, and on the way to run a few places. A local feed store was selling chickens, geese, and ducklings. I took the kids over to check them out. They were really cute, but we didn’t come home with any.

We had one more stop to make, and we headed out towards Redbud Nurseries. I was looking for a few plants for the indoors, and the outdoors too.

I absolutely love Redbud Nurseries. The kids were happy to visit there too.

Dylan loved the shaded hillside filled with large ferns, and shady plants. Agnes enjoyed the greenhouses filled with petunias and butterflies to chase.

Thade spotted a plant that he absolutely loved.

While we were running around Redbud, Thade was busy taking pictures. He took some pretty fantastic photos too.

This photo was my very favorite…

I think we’ve got a budding photographer on our hands. I’ll be handing over the camera over to him whenever we are out and about.

We filled up a wagon full of flowers and plants. While we were checking out, the kids got to pick out ice-pops to cool off. They were thrilled.

I had filled a few pots with new plants for the backyard. We had to move them to the front porch last night. Miss Mia thought they were a cool pup-bed for her…

I hope the little Amethyst plants can bounce back after the puppy squishing.

We started a little rock garden in the front yard with pretty blooms for the butterflies. We also have a few new houseplants to tend too.

I just need to get a few photos of them…
