August was a very busy month. We had school on the way, and so much to get together. I seemed to fall behind on my crafting, and just about everything else too.

We did get to spend a little time with Nana, and one afternoon she brought along a project for the kids.

Rock Painting!

Throughout the Summer our little town has been hiding and seeking painted rocks. It has been a fun project to participate in. The kids really love rock hunting, but they loved painting rocks with Nana too.

All of the kiddos got involved, and artsy too.

We ended up with lots of rocks to hide all around town.

I know it is early, but I always wait too late to make something Christmas themed for Agnes to wear to school. This Summer I was on it, and I made her a cute Christmas colors earwarmer. I’m planning on embellishing it a bit more. She likes it so far.

I also started a scarf for me.

While I was watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I spotted Newt’s Hufflepuff scarf. I knew right away what my next knitting project was going to be.

I too am a Hufflepuff (and a Potter-nerd), and I had plenty of yarn on hand to get this project going. I just love grey and yellow. Such a pretty color for the upcoming Autumn.

Well I didn’t meet my goal of completing Agnes’ and Dylan’s newest blankets during Summer.

It seems like I still have an awfully long way to go on both of these projects.

School is back, I always take a knitting or crochet project along with me to work on in the car.

I’m currently knitting another scarf to add to my homemade stash of teacher’s gifts.

I’m thankful that it is September. I am looking forward to cooler weather, and some time to catch up on all of the projects that I have going on. I’m also hoping to get out my sewing machine soon and tackle the ever-growing mending pile.

June was a busy month for me, but the kids were bored already. I didn’t get too much crafting done, it seems like all day every day I’m in the kitchen. I’m always trying to catch up on dishes, making another snack for Thade, and baking whatever I can. I miss my quiet days and crafting time.

I’ve reached the half-way point on the 2017 Temperature Blanket. It is already pretty darn big. I think that by the time that all of the crocheting is done it will easily fit our king-sized bed.

I’ve got a pretty good start on Agnes’ newest blanket. It is a Mexican inspired, multi-hued, crochet blanket in all of her favorite colors.

Dylan’s blanket is also coming along nicely too.

I think Agnes’ might be a bit bigger though. I really hope to have both of these projects completed by the end of the Summer.

I’m still working on my knitting. I’ve been knitting lots of little dusting cloths, to keep the kids busy, and my knitting needles busy too.

This is my downstairs works-in-progress basket. I drag it from room to room, and work on my little projects whenever I can.

Time to get back to the kitchen, I can smell the latest loaf of bread just about ready to come out of the oven.

May seemed to be the shortest month so far. The kids had only a few weeks of school, and we had school stuff going on most of the time. I carried along small knitting and crochet projects with me. I also started a few more big projects at home too.

One of the coolest surprises was this giant box of yarn from my Mom! The box was filled with different types of yarn, wool, and some cotton too. I loved going through all of it, and feeding the stash.

I’m still knitting this chunky blue scarf. I think I’ve been working on it off and on for a few months now. I’m still a pretty slow knitter.

Project time! A multi-hue Mexican style blanket for Dylan. He likes green (his favorite), shades of blue, and grey.

I finally finished knitting a scarf for Agnes. Even though the weather was a little warm for scarves, she wore it to school anyway.

My kids fight over the cleaning products in the house, especially the swiffers for dusting.

Since I had a few skeins of cotton on hand, I crocheted a few cleaning cloths for the tiny kids.

Dylan’s blanket is coming along nicely. I seriously love this color combination.

The 2017 Temperature blanket is still going strong. Row by row. I can’t believe how big this blanket is getting, and we’ve still got a lot of 2017 to crochet.

I’m planning on working on lots of projects now that Summer is here. I’ve started a multi-hued blanket for Agnes. I’m also knitting some cleaning cloths too. Now I just need a little more room for the ongoing projects.

I have lots of little projects going on right now. I’ve got two blankets that I’m working on upstairs, a basket with knitting projects downstairs. I’ve even got a knitting project in my purse to work on while I’m in the afternoon school pick-up line.

I’ve completed three months on the temperature blanket. I’ve had to stock back up on shades of yellow and gold yarn. We have had a pretty mild winter and early spring around our neck of the woods.

After I made the patchwork blanket for Agnes, Thade put in a request for a new blanket too.

I got an idea in my mind, and hit the yarn stash to get started.

It is all half-double crochet stitches, and I’m using a J sized hook.

I am loving the look of this blanket so far. Thade says it’s o.k.

During Spring Break we went to visit my mom, and she said my favorite phrase… “I’ll watch the kids while you go to the yarn store.” Seriously, I can’t say no to that!

I spent some much needed time strolling the yarn aisles at Joann’s.

I bought a bit of yarn. I also had the kindest lady who scanned two coupons and saved me $30.00 on this stash feeding haul. I gave her a hug, she was seriously awesome.

I’m going to start a blanket for Agnes and Dylan too. Kinda like Thade’s, but with their favorite colors.

This is my little knitting basket downstairs. I’m knitting scarves for next year’s teacher gifts, and I’m making a cute scarf for Agnes. She always needs another scarf.

I’m still working on another scrappy blanket. I add a bit of yarn here and there. I love the colors, stripes, and knotted texture of this little blanket.
