With the kids home for the Summer, the house is always buzzing with loudness. I’ve been waking up early to catch some quiet if I can.
I’m working on lots of crochet projects and trying to keep up around the house too. I seem to be in the kitchen cooking around the clock. Time to get to it, I hear one of the kiddos.
We’ve been out of school since Wednesday.
We’ve walked at our favorite walking trail, and spent way too much of our grocery budget.
We’ve also had a visit from Grandma, and the teeny-tiny cousins too.
And there have been messes…
Lots of them.
Spring weather is in full swing, and the pets are pretty happy about it.
Especially Miss Mia.
She loves to play fetch with the kiddos in the backyard.
And snuggle with me when the kids are at school.
Miss Lula Mae has had a bit of a hurt paw. She seems to be feeling better though, she loves to tackle Mia.
With all of the crazy rain and warm weather, the toads are back in the yard. Dylan loves to catch them.
I always have Dylan turn them loose before bedtime though. This little one was awfully cute!
How is Spring coming along in your neighborhood?
What can I say… March was one of those months. There were some good days, and oh goodness there were some of “those” days.
For about two weeks we had the flu, and man it was bad.
All of the kids ran high fevers, and we all slept non-stop. There were aches, coughs, and all the other fun stuff that comes with the flu. I really hope that was the last one for the school year.
I also got a flat tire, while we had the flu. I’m really tire(d) of this bad luck.
Spring Break arrived, and for the first few days the kids still slept like crazy. We were still not feeling all too great, but at least they were finally eating again. We made no plans, other then to get well.
The flowers bloomed, and the weather wasn’t too bad this time around.
Over Spring Break I got my last wisdom tooth out. Ugh, finally feeling better from the flu, so that is the perfect time for oral surgery. My Mom came up and watched the kids, so I could sleep. My Mom is awesome like that!
Once the kids went back to school, it was time to bake some Cupcakes for Dylan’s birthday. We took lots to school, some to Dylan’s school office, and some to Dad’s office too.
Speaking of birthday’s Dylan turned nine!!! I seriously can’t believe that this little man is already nine.
We had all of the family over to celebrate with Dylan. It was a ton of fun. The weather was awesome, we had tons of cake, and Dylan absolutely had a blast.
We celebrated Easter with just us. We were still crazy tired from the birthday party.
This last week has been:
cold and rainy,
full of homework,
and endless piles of dishes and laundry that I am convinced that I will never catch up.
Here’s hoping that April goes just a little bit better.
The kids have been out since the eleventh, and Spring Break has been pretty good. The kids aren’t quite ready to go back to school just yet, but they just have to go for four days next week.
We’ve spent lots of time outside, when the weather was cooperating. The cold weather returned on Friday.
Nana also came to visit, and watch the kiddos for me on Friday. I had to go to the oral surgeon to get this evil wisdom tooth out. I was glad she was here to help, I really needed some rest.
I didn’t really get too much done, even though I was constantly busy. I did spend lots of time with the kiddos watching movies, watching them play the PS4, or minecraft. It was nice staying close to home, and bumming around in pj’s.
Monday will be here soon enough, and we’ve got another busy week. Dylan’s 9th birthday is next Saturday, and there is Easter too. It will be a short school week, so I had better get done what I can while I have the time.
