Just a Little Decorating… so far

You’ll find a few Halloween touches around our house, so far. I’ve painted our Front Porch chair a bright Autumn Orange, and I love displaying my favorite Black Cat Pot Holder in the kitchen.

There is a “scary” pumkin hanging in the Foyer window. Thade and Dylan picked out Super-cute Pumpkin Pie Pumpkins to display in the Dining Room. I have a feeling we won’t be carving these for Jack-O-Lanterns…

Thade loves the “scary” spider on the front door, I just hope it doesn’t scare Dylan too much… I hope to decorate the outdoors too. My Mom picked us up a Halloween Outdoor Display, and we still need to get two large pumpkins for the front porch. I am also leaning towards purchasing a few Fall Mums too, maybe.

Have you been decorating your home for Halloween?

Blissful Handwashed Dishes

On a recent shopping trip I needed to pick up dish washing liquid, fun shopping trip, I know. I gravitated towards my usual favorite Ajax Pink Grapefruit when I spotted something new… Palmolive Pure+Clear dish liquid. The price was right, it had a light fresh scent, no dyes, and with my super sensitive skin, I couldn’t resist.

I chose the Spring Fresh scent, and it smells so good. The light scent reminds me of the Apple Trees that I climbed as a little girl. The dye free dish liquid is also very easy on my hands and with all of the hand washing that I do, I really appreciate that.

If you give it a try, let me know what you think.

To Decorate or Not

I’ve been noticing Halloween decorations popping up in the stores, and all over town. I wonder if it is too early to start decorating? Part of me thinks that the First Day of October is a great day to start decorating for Halloween, but when I see itty bitty cute pumpkins, I just can’t wait!

When do you start decorating for the holidays? Do you start early or wait till the last minute?

On a side note: I’ve just returned from running the Morning errands, and Dollar General already has Christmas decorations out! So maybe its not too early to start decorating.

Summer, We’ll Miss You

I feel that Summer is coming to an end, and Fall will be here very soon. The all too hot weather has turned into mild sunny days, and rainy ones too. The bright green trees will soon turn their pretty Fall colors. We’ll miss the Summer fun, but I’m not sad, Fall is by far my favorite of all seasons.

This Summer was a really fun one filled with many activities, sunburns, ice cream, and days out in the warm sunshine.I thought it would be fun to share a few of our favorite Summer memories…

I loved taking my Mom and the boy’s  to see my Brother in K.C. It was such a fun trip, and I hope to make it up to see him again soon. I bet K.C. is just lovely in the Fall.

We had a fun trip to Grandma’s, and Thade loved riding the rides at the Kiddie Amusement Park.

We all enjoyed the local Summertime Festival, and the tasty Ice Cold Lemonade.

I really loved the big shady trees, and the pretty pink flowers that bloomed in our front yard.

I had so much fun working in the Garden, and harvesting a few crops here and there.

I’ll miss the pretty butterflies, and my darling toad Spencer who helped take care of the garden.

I’ll always remember the pretty Summer skies and the powerful Summer storms.

I’ll miss Summertime, but I can’t wait for Fall. I’m already looking forward to the Fall Festivals, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course all of the Football games. I think it is going to be a fantastic Fall.

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Summer, and I hope that Fall is just as much fun.
