These days are the ones that I look forward to the most. No plans, and lots of rain. Looks like a pretty good day to stay in, crochet a bit, and tend to some indoor chores.
Maybe I’ll sneak in a little baking too. Thanks to the cloudy morning, the kids are still asleep, and the house is so very quiet. I think I’ll sip my coffee, and enjoy the peace while I’ve got it.
This week we’ve stayed close to home. It has been rainy everyday, so we take advantage of the sunny weather when we can.
Agnes seriously loves that great big kitty. He seems pretty happy with his new blanket too.
I finally did some baking!
The kids love their trampoline! The boys are on it constantly.
I gave grilling a try.
I crocheted a little bit everyday too. My latest blanket is coming along nicely.
I rearranged the downstairs, and made a little Summer daybed under the stairs. I finally got all of the “new” pictures up on the wall too.
Miss Mia likes the new snuggly spot too.
Friday was the annual Good ‘Ol Days parade. I thought it was going to get rained out, but the weather cleared for the parade. The festival is today, but more rain is on the way. We’re keeping an eye on the storms, and maybe we’ll get to visit the festival in between the rain showers.

This week has been all about kicking back and settling into Summer.
We’ve completed some little projects. I’ve settled into a better cleaning routine too.
It has been great having all of the kids home too. There have been a few arguments, but it is really great to spend some extra time with the little dudes.
I’ve been cleaning, crafting, and catching-up on Netflix in the evenings. I’m really enjoying the schedule-free days.
I’m still on school hours… I’m up around 5:30 a.m., but my time seems wasted. I try my best to stay quiet, so the kiddos will sleep in a bit.
It has been a nice and lazy Summer so far. The weather has been hot, muggy, and rainy. I haven’t started working on the yard, but I have been working on my crochet projects.
Today I’m off to the dentist. I’m not too happy about that one, but it must be done. James is off work early today, so I hope the kiddos are good for him.
Sorry for the rambling post. I’m already nervous about my appointment later today. I’m a big baby when it comes to the dentist. O.k. better get to it…
The kids are home for a full three months of Summer break. The calm and quiet that was once commonplace has evaporated from the house.
The “I’m bored, I’m hungry, and I’m telling Mom!!!” is now all that I seem to hear.
My hubby left me a little note of encouragement on the fridge. I’m the one with the pony-tail.
The dishes are once again piling up, and the snacks are rapidly disappearing. The boys have eaten everything in the kitchen. Thade had five, yes five pulled-pork sandwiches for dinner a few nights ago. I’m trying to put off a grocery store run until tomorrow…
Agnes is already pretty grumbly too. She misses the quiet, and she misses calling the shots around the house.
It is great having my little guys home though…
As crazy as they make me, I love them so. I think it is going to be a pretty great Summer.
