I’m finally finished with a project, I finished Thade’s quilt today. I also got two more curtains finished for the second floor. We went to the store extra early today, and it took forever. I wanted to be home before the weather became too hot, tomorrow it is supposed to be even hotter. Since we are stuck inside all the time, I’m getting a bunch of things done around the house.

Thade skipped his nap again today,so I am exhausted. I blame it on the heat, but no matter how much sleep I am getting at night, I’m beat. Thade is still busy running around the house messing with Maddie, and playing cars. Hopefully his lack of nap will catch up with him soon, and we can call it a night.

I have become obsessed with my new sewing machine. I am buying way too much material, sewing notions, and sitting at my machine for hours on end. It all started with a curtain for the front door, and then one for the back door, then came the curtains for Thade’s room, throw pillows(for the livingroom and my brother), curtains for the kitchen, and lastly a quilt for Thade. Oh yeah, and two dog beds too(for Dakota our new puppy). The quilt has taken the longest, almost a month of sewing now. I’ll sit down and start working, and Thade will come up and say “making blanket for you”. I will hopefully have it done soon.

We are still busy painting, and cleaning, and doing odd home improvements around the house. The house has become an ongoing project, that has no end in sight. I need to work on the yard, but it is supposed to be 101 today, so the yard will have to wait.

Thade is taking a much needed nap, we have already been to the store, and then his Grandma came by for a little visit, so he is exhausted.

I guess I should get back to the dishes that I should be doing, but then again I think it might be snack-time for me!
