Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone has a safe and very happy holiday.
I’ve been keeping busy in the kitchen. I have lots of tasty dishes ready for tonight’s dinner. I’ve been getting the house cleaned and ready for family to visit too.
The boys are ready for the holiday festivities too.

Happy 4th of July!
I know this post is a little late. Like I’ve said before May was a blur, and I’m just now catching up.
Thade made me a sweet card, a coupon book, and flowers too.
Dylan made an adorable card, and had a few flowers for me too. I love those boys.
Agnes sang “Happy Birthday” to me all day, which was really cute.
The kids woke me up extra early with another gift. They got me the Hunger Games trilogy, and I’ve really enjoyed it. I love my little family.
Even though I knew it was on the way, Easter snuck up on me this year. I have to say though, it was one of the very best Easter holidays that we have celebrated.
I hard-boiled three dozen eggs for the kiddos.
It has become our family tradition to color the Easter eggs on Easter-eve (as Thade calls it). The kids have an awesome time, and we make a big mess in the kitchen. Once the eggs are finished, we set out a carrot for the Easter bunny, and then the kids are off to bed. This year they wanted to go to bed extra early, so they could get up way too early on Easter morning.
I don’t think they slept four hours, and they were all up before 6:00 a.m.
The boys were so excited!
Agnes had fun looking for Easter eggs all around the house. Her brothers were sweet and helped her out too.
Once their baskets were all full, they picked out a few pieces of candy, and watched the movie Hop for the seventh time.
I got to work in the kitchen. I was planning an Easter dinner for the family. I wanted to have as much done as I could, so I could spend some time with our guests. The family arrived in the afternoon, and we all had a fantastic time.
It was one awesome Easter!
They ran around like crazy, tore into every present with record speed. They left a trail of wrapping paper and torn boxes in their wake, but I have to say it was one of the best Christmases ever. We had our families all together, and it was great fun.

The presents are purchased, wrapped, and under the tree. The Christmas meals are coming together. The kids are anxious, I think we are finally ready to celebrate Christmas.
Well most of us anyway.
