James surprised me with a few new books for my half-birthday. Just in time too, I finished a book yesterday.
I started a new one, it’s the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel. After that I’ll be reading Game of Thrones. We’ll see if I get the first four read through this Autumn.
Wednesday my Mother in law was visiting, so I asked her if she wouldn’t mind watching the kids for a bit. She said sure, and James and I got to go out to dinner. Just the two of us.
We headed to one of our favorite places.
We had a delicious meal, and enjoyed the quiet.
We decided to head downtown and check out a bookstore.
I found way too many books!
The “Cooky Book” had to be mine!

I opened up the pages and out popped three hand-written recipes.

I needed a break, really, really, really bad. Dylan and Agnes have been sick for over a week, and I’ve been stressing over Thade’s school stuff too. I asked James if he was off work on Saturday, and I booked and appointment to go to my very favorite place.

I would seriously move in if they would let me. It is peaceful, and beautiful, and they have the best stylists in town. I was extra happy when Kat said that she could see me at 2:00 p.m. She is the best!
I seriously love my bangs!
I feel like a new lady, and even my hubby liked my new hair-cut. It was an awesome afternoon out of the house too, and the kids didn’t mind one bit, Dad is way more fun than Mom.
I hope to take Agnes to the Courtland for her first official hair-cut. I would love to see what Kat can do with her cute curls.

I finally got my coupon holders today! I’ll be organizing my coupons and watching some Hockey tonight!
I know there isn’t a post too often around here about my hubby, but he is pretty-stinking-rad. He knows that I’m dreading my birthday, and that I don’t care all that much for Valentine’s Day, so he gave me my present early.
And I love it!
And I love him…
And I’m a way happy-camper right now.
