Back To It

Today has been busy, busy, busy… I have been in the car most of the morning running errands, and I finally got to the grocery store after a two week hiatus. I really don’t like grocery shopping, but it had to be done, the house was literally out of everything… Well according to Thade anyway.

I also had to run to the vet. for flea treatment for the kitties, we stopped off at James office to say hi, then to the hospital for a weight check for Agnes, and then to the store. Both of the little ones are snoozing right now, they must be tired from all of the errands.

I’ve used the free time to get a few loads of laundry done, the house vacuumed, and all of the dishes got washed too. Now I’m going to enjoy my laptop for about 10 minutes, and then I’ve got to load up the kiddos and head to the school to pick up Thade. Better get back to it.

Time To Stock Up

With the hospital visit just around the corner, I have got to get the house ready and stocked. I’m planning a few extra shopping trips this weekend to make sure that I have everything on hand for the kiddos and house guests too. I should probably pick up a few extra snacks for my hubby too.

I’m going to shop at Dollar General to stock up on paper goods. You can find a 6 pack of toilet paper for just $1.00, and facial tissues are just $1.00 too. I’m buying extra, and stocking up on paper towels there too.

Yet another trip to Wal-Mart is in order too. I have a lot of items to pick up, meals to buy for and then prepare, and I also need to get Halloween party supplies too. I hope to make it in one big trip, but knowing me, I’ll forget something, and have to make a second trip out. I would like to have the house stocked for at least two weeks, but Thade is eating us out of house and home lately, so if I can get a week stocked, I’ll call it good.

I’m off to make some lists…

Yep, I’m That Lady

We had a small grocery list for the week, and I decided to bring along my reusable bags to bring home the groceries. I hate to admit this, but I’m really bad about bringing along my bags, unless I’m shopping at Aldi. I’ve put Thade in charge of reminding me to bring them along when we shop any where, and Dylan is happy to help carry the bags too. I also had a handful of coupons in hand to shop with this week too.

So we go thorough the store, and I’m off to the checkout with reusable bags in hand, and checkout goes something like this.

I unload the bags first, and with a big smile, I say: I’ve brought along my own bags.

Cashier: Really giant sigh, and a very big eye roll.

I quickly loaded up the conveyor belt with all of the items, and when the groceries were almost finished making their way into their reusable bags, I had to say…

Nico: I’ve also got a few coupons…

Cashier: Really really really big sigh, and an even bigger eye roll.

Yeah I’m totally that lady, but happily I didn’t bring home another plastic bag, and I also saved about $5.00 on my grocery bill. It didn’t come without a snarky sigh and a few eye rolls though…

Let The Car Calling Begin

Today I think I have been on the phone non stop, calling insurance for a tow, and then calling my hubby with the info, and I’ve still got to call the repair shop and see just what they think the problem is. I just hope that it can be fixed and soon. This is one super busy week, and I really need to have my car working. Wish me luck, time to get back on the phone.

This Just Isn’t Fair

Yesterday it was 60s and Sunny, and today it is 25 and snow is on the way. That just isn’t right… I guess Winter has to show its face one more time this season. I’m going to go and get some plastic drop cloths to cover the Tulips and Daffodils.

Oh a happier note, Thade was excited to go to preschool today. They are studying the letter H and today the kiddos could wear a favorite Hat. Thade (of course) is wearing his Kevin Harvick hat, and Dylan had to wear a Kasey Kahne hat too.

It is going to be a busy day today, and I’ve got a few errands to run, even though it is cold outside.

Happy Friday to all!
