This is going to take some planning

Tomorrow I’m planning on shopping the loss leaders at three stores: Dillon’s, Aldi, and Walgreens. I’m taking some extra time today to get everything ready for tomorrow. I’ve got to have a few extra items for the boys, and my shopping bags for Aldi too. I already have all of my lists ready, with coupons. I hope that the boys will behave, and that I have the energy to go shopping tomorrow.

I’m finishing up the remainder of the grocery shopping at Wal-Mart on Friday. James has an eye appointment, so I’ll have some time to shop. That is a total of 4 stores in 2 days. Maybe I should invest in a few iced coffees too.

Yahoo for Walgreens

On Saturday my mom and I took the boys shopping. We got to go to my favorites Walgreens and Aldi. I did such a great job at Walgreens I have to share my list and savings with you:

4 12 packs of Coke products for $11.00
2 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, and one box of Lucky Charms for $7.00 + I had a $1.00 off coupon
2 boxes of Kleenexes for $.89 each
1 Soft Scrub cleaner for $2.50 + I had a $.50 off coupon
3 2 liter Coke products for $3.00
3 3 Enviga Green Tea for $3.00
2 Palmolive Dish Detergent for $.99 each
4 Huggies diapers size 2 Jumbo packs for $5.24 each!!!!

Grand Total with tax $53.46, with the Walgreens sales, coupons, and my coupons I saved a total of $37.06!

Long night, early morning

Dylan and I went to the doctor yesterday, and all was well. Dylan is growing fast, and gaining plenty of weight, another 2 pounds to be exact. The only bad part was that Dylan had to get 4 shots. The poor little boy was up all night with very sore legs. Thade was up too with a very stuffy nose, the pollen count is so high here. The boys have one tired mommy today, I think I got about 3 hours of sleep.

It is raining like crazy here today, but I have to get out to the post office and Wal-Mart too. Maybe dad will watch the boys while I run errands.

Here is my list for today:

*Wash and put away dishes
*Go to the post office and check p.o. box
*Go to Wal-Mart, pick up meds
*Wash 3 loads of laundry

I think that is all I have the energy for today.

Got to the store (finally)

Today I decided to give it a try and take both of the boys grocery shopping. We had a few errands to run: first off to the post office, and then to gas up the car ($3.49 ouch), and then to the store. I made sure that both boys were fed, rested, and ready to shop. It actually went pretty well, Thade was a big help, and Dylan was happy just hanging out. I forgot a few things on my list, I ran out of room in the cart, and the trunk of my car too. I have two strollers in the trunk, so its tricky getting groceries in there.

I may attempt Walgreen’s this week too. I’ll have to carry Dylan in a carrier though, the carts are a little small. Lets see if I get brave enough to try that one. I’ll keep you posted.

I made it to Walgreen’s

Thanks to my awesome hubby we made it to Walgreen’s today, and I saved HUGE! I’ll list the items that I saved the most on:

*3 12 pack Pepsi products
*2 Puffs Tissues
*3 Walgreen’s Free and Clear Laundry Detergent
*2 Walgreen’s Aluminum Foil
*2 Walgreen’s Paper Towels
*Walgreen’s Paper Plates
*Walgreen’s Toilet Paper 4 ct

All of these items cost me just $23.76, if I had bought them at my local store I would have spent $ 42.16, that is a savings of $18.44! I’m so happy about my savings. The trip to Walgreen’s was definitely worth the cost of gas.
