Back to the store

I swear I have lived at Wal-Mart this past week. My brother and I took the boys on Friday. I finally got Thade’s new jammies and shoes, and a few things for the house. James and I took the boys out on Saturday, we needed an appliance cord, and I talked James into buying me the new Harry Potter.

We have to go out today for groceries for the week, get gas, and run to the post office too. Dylan is sleeping in today. As soon as he is up and fed, we are headed out the door.

Local $1 Store

Yesterday Thade wanted to shop at our local $1 Store. He had earned some chore money, and it was burning a hole in his pocket. I knew we were headed for whatever toy car he could find, so I tried to browse the aisles as quickly as I could.

I found lots of great treasures too. Cute coffee cups, kitchen utensils, canvas totes, and even organizational bins. I’ll have to take a little extra money the next time we visit, and get a few items for me too.

What great treasures have you found at your local $1.00 Shop?

Great Find

Today I woke up with a gigantic migraine, and with 2 screaming boys. I did not feel like going shopping at Wal-Mart today. I know, I’m a big slacker, I was supposed to go yesterday, the weather wasn’t cooperating. Anyway I decided to run to Dollar General for cat litter. I am so happy that I made the trip. I found Hartz Ph5 litter 8 lbs for just $1.00 ( $1.07 with tax). I’m going to start buying the kitty supplies there from now on.

Today’s To Do List

Man oh man it is Monday again, and that means it is time to go and get the groceries for the week. I hope to get to the store this morning, before it gets too hot outside. Dylan is still asleep, so I have plenty of time to get my list and coupons together.

Here is the plan for today:

*Grocery Shop
*Focus Cleaning-Dining Room
*Clean out the fridge
*Put away 3 loads of laundry
*Wash 3 loads of laundry
*Take out the trash
*Give the cats flea treatments
*Wash and put away dishes

I read about making your own baby wipes over at Momma’s Mercy, and I thought it sounded like a great idea to try. I’m always in need of baby wipes, and they are getting so expensive. So I am going to try and make some homemade baby wipes this week. Thade has offered to help out too.

Busy days

The last 2 days have been non-stop. Thade is trying his hardest to give up naps all together (bummer). Dylan is now skipping 2 naps a day, and nursing an extra 2 times a at night(really big bummer). I’ve been wearing him more and more in the Snugli so I can get a few phone calls made, and e-mail all caught up without him yelling at me constantly. He is a little “mommy attached” at the moment.

I took the boys shopping yesterday. We did pretty good on the savings side, and both of the boys were great at the stores. Our Walgreens hasn’t opened yet, so we are still driving 30 minutes away. I can’t wait for our Walgreens to open, it will save me so much time, and gas money too. Now if we could just get Dillons, Aldi, and Arby’s in our town, we would be all set.

Today I’m cleaning, doing laundry, and baking some items for the weekend. James has been craving Chex Mix, I can’t say no to making that. Great now I’m craving that too. Better go and grab a late lunch while I have a chance.

Never mind the lunch,I hear Dylan waking up from his nap. I had better get back to the little guy.
