We Have Snow :)

We got the boys out early this evening to look at Christmas lights, and it looks like we made home just before the snow arrived. The Christmas lights were beautiful, and the snow looks awfully pretty too. I Just hope that we don’t get too much snow, they are now calling for 5-10 inches.

We did get out to the store for extra supplies, but I didn’t get the Christmas pictures picked up. So I’m still behind on getting the Christmas cards out. Oh well maybe Monday I’ll finally get them, don’t tell the Grandmas, or else I’ll be in trouble 😉

Today’s To Do:

My hubby is off work today! I hope that he gets to rest and relax 😉 The weather is finally improving it is going to be a balmy 40 today. We are getting out of the house today (for sure). It is looking like a very busy day, and I’m going to get about 9 dozen cookies baked somewhere in there too… Here is the plan for today:

  • Empty Upstairs Waste-baskets
  • Empty Downstairs Waste-baskets
  • Take out the trash (trash cans to alley)
  • Pick up the boy’s Christmas pictures (40 min round trip)
  • Go to Walgreens
  • BAKE COOKIES (for Dr’s office and Hospital 9 dozen): I’ll be making
    • No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Apricot Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal

We’ll see what I get done today, it is going to be really busy 😉

We Might Get Out Today

I am going stir crazy in the house today, and if the weather cooperates we might get out for a few errands today. My hubby is taking off work early, and I know he could use a little peace and quiet. Grumpy Dylan was up all night last night, so we are both so tired today. I will (hopefully) take the kiddos out for an hour or two and pick up their Christmas pictures, so my hubby can have a little break from the craziness.

Once I have the pictures I can finally get the Christmas cards mailed 🙂 I’m so bad about getting cards out in time. We might just have to swing by Walgreens too, I saw a few good sales items that I think I need. We’ll see though, it looks awfully cold outside today 😉

Yes! I beat the weather :)

This rarely happens to me, it seems that every time I’m out to go shop the nasty weather catches me. Today I actually ran all of my errands before the ice hit 🙂 James was off early today, and filled up my car, and brought home lunch too. I wasn’t feeling too well, darn migraine, so he picked up an iced coffee too. He is too sweet, and it really helped. We both decided that it was way too cold to get Dylan out, so he volunteered to stay home and watch the boys while I shopped.

I got by the Post Office, Walgreens, Wood’s, and it started sleeting just as I pulled into Wal-Mart. I shopped as quickly as I could, and headed on home. It is freezing outside, and it looks like snow is on its way. I got everything stocked up, just in case we get snowed in. I also picked up a few Christmas snacks for my stockpile, and two cute birthday cards for my super-sweet Sister-in-law. Her birthday is next week, so I had better get the cards in the mail soon.

I hope that everybody has a great weekend, and stays warm 🙂

Brrrr! Here comes the cold

Today seems to be the last day that the weather will be semi-nice for about a week, so we are getting next week’s errands run today. It looks like the ice will hit tomorrow and turn into snow by Monday. Looks like the kiddos and I will be in for quite a while. Here is the plan for today:

  • Grocery shop at Wal-Mart
  • Shop at Walgreens
  • Go to the Post Office
  • Gas up my car (it handles a little better in the ice)

I think that is all for the errands, I hope we can beat the weather 😉
