The month of April was an absolute blur, and May is following right along in it’s footsteps. The weather is warm, and we seem to have way too many things on the schedule. I’m packing along little crafts when I can, and trying, really trying to finish what I’ve started at home.

I’ve been working on this over sized granny-square blanket for Agnes in bright colors. It seems like whenever I thought I was done, I needed to add a few more rows.

I finally got it finished just in time to throw on her bed for Summer.

The large granny-square is that perfect mixture of just cool enough for Summer nights, but keeps you a little warm too.

I’m also knitting up a stash of odds and ends for a cozy Autumn/Winter blanket for downstairs.

I keep some in a basket upstairs.

I keep some in my too big bag to work on in the car.

I knit until I run out of yarn, and then I wrap it up for stitching in the future.

I’m also working on a granny-square blanket for a certain little cutie.

My Sister (in law) is expecting a baby boy in August!!! I’m so excited!

I’m using woodland colors, and crocheting a whole bunch of granny-squares.

It is quite a work in progress. I think I need to crochet another twenty granny-squares, and then figure out how I want to edge this blanket.

May is busy, and I’m still working on the kid’s blankets from last Summer. I keep trying not to start another project, but I feel the urge to get the sewing machine out.

I am way behind on posts this month. It seems like I barely have a minute to sit down at my laptop. I’ve got one kiddo home sick from school today, and my hubby is taking a much needed day off. I’m keeping a close eye on Dylan, as he is the poorly one. I really hope it is just a reaction to some bad allergies, and not something that is going to make it’s way through the household.

So on to March… I have a lot (a whole lot) of projects still in the works. I really need to get them wrapped up and completed.

I picked up some yarn for a blanket that I’m working on for Agnes, and a blanket that I’m working on for a Christmas gift.

I crocheted some colorful pony-tail holders for Agnes and I. These were very quick to crochet.

I made Agnes a chunky knitted scarf. While it is Spring in Kansas, the weather hasn’t switched all the way to Spring just yet. Also, black is her very favorite color right now, so she needed a new scarf. I’m getting a bit faster at knitting, and this chunky yarn knitted beautifully.

I’m gathering up a big basket of yarn for that Christmas gift that I was talking about earlier. I’m making a granny-square blanket for a very special someone.

I finally finished knitting this seed-stitch scarf for my Mom. I meant to give it to her as a Christmas gift, but it took me a little bit longer than I had planned.

My craft-nook/craft-table is in quite a state. I have got to get this area of the house in a bit better condition. James has dubbed the craft area the Estro-corner, and that cracks me up.

I ordered myself a set of bamboo knitting needles. I absolutely love knitting with these. They also look cute on display too.

So this month has been crazy. I’m still working on ongoing projects, and trying to get the house in some state of o.k. before school is out next month.

It seemed like I didn’t craft too much in February. I think I still have at least six or seven ongoing projects scattered around the house. I should probably finish up one of those before I start something new.

I keep it in a big project bag and I drag it all over the house.

It is coming along nicely.

February was one of those months where I was constantly busy, but I never seemed to get anything done. I hope March will be a little more productive in the craft department.

What a strange and complicated month January was… It seemed like everything was breaking all over the house, and everyone was constantly sick. I’m still hoping that February will be a little kinder to us.

I knitted and crochet just a bit, but mostly I was here…

I spent just about every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at the laundromat. I made a new friend along the way, finished up some scarves, and met a lot of locals.

I’m still knitting on this little seed-stitch scarf in the evenings. I keep a few ongoing projects upstairs and downstairs. I can’t seem to focus on just one.

When the heater was out, I made a few scarves. They take just a few hours to complete, and kept my hands busy.

Whenever I’m waiting at after-school pick up to get Miss Agnes, I always bring along something small to knit or crochet. It usually gets me some odd looks, and a few questions.

I have a little buddy, who is four, and she has a dinosaur that lives in one of the cars at after-school pick up. So the owner hollered over to me to see if I would make a little hat for the dashboard dinosaur…

I decided that it was just too cold for a hat alone, so I knitted a tiny scarf too.

They cracked up when I handed them the finished product, and it fit the dinosaur! It ended up being really cute, and it was a fun project to make for my favorite preschooler.

I made another scarf in between trips to the laundromat, soccer practice, and waiting in the car. I’ve already got a bunch made for next year’s teacher’s gifts.

I started another blanket for Agnes. Her taste in color is changing, and I found some yarn cakes that I thought she might just like.

I’m making a large granny-square blanket with three cakes so far. I’m also adding in other colors of yarn, so the blanket will be big enough. I’ve been working on it off and on. Agnes likes the darker colors in the coral cake.

This month I really need to catch up all around the house, and I need to finish a project before I start a new one. We’ll see though…

Well December was a long month, but a quick month. And we were under the weather too…

I snuck in a few crochet and knitting crafts here and there, whenever I could.

I knitted handmade scarves for the kid’s teachers, and some for para’s too. I crocheted a bunch of homemade ornaments too.

I started knitting a little scarf on the first day of Winter.

I kept working on Agnes’ and Dylan’s multi-color blankets.

After Christmas all of the boys in the house started playing PUBG, so I picked up the knitting needles.

I had a bit of chunky yarn on hand, and I whipped up an earwarmer for me.

And I got it done just in time for the temps to drop to -18 F. Holy moly is is freezing in KS!

Now my crafting project is to get the pipes unfrozen in the house… My goodness, hurry up warmer weather. I need a break!
