Finished and Unfinished

I have a lot of crochet projects going on right now. I’m still working on new bedding for our room, and I already have three handmade Christmas presents ready to gift. With Agnes in school a few hours during the week, I get a little extra time to work on some projects.

This first one is a gift in progress. I’ve been spotting lots of granny-square afghans in the antique shops, and I wanted to recreate it. I’m using brightly colored yarn, and then finishing it off with two more rows of black. It is a classic look, and fun to make.

I needed to restock yarn for the granny-square blanket. I also finally found the jumbo White skeins to (hopefully) complete our giant blanket.

I have been making fantastic progress on this ocean hued throw. I need a few more skeins of yarn to complete it, and wouldn’t you know it, my store is out… I’ll keep checking in to see if it is restocked soon.

I also started this hexagon afghan as a gift. I went to look for the dark charcoal yarn yesterday, and it was out too. Oh goodness, I am out of luck yarn shopping locally. Time to run over to MO, and maybe they will have it.

Yep, an entire year later, and I am still working on this king-sized blanket. This project is slow-going, I just hope it is done by Winter’s arrival.

Lastly this one is a quick to crochet and complete gift. This scarf is for a fabulous Eagles fan. I hope she likes it. I added some fringe to complete the cuteness.

Today the boys are at school, and the Miss and I are having a quiet girls day. It is cloudy and cool, perfect for crochet.

Crafting Gifts

Christmas is still a bit away, but I am getting started on homemade gifts for the family now. I’m going to try and gift a little something homemade to each family member. I’ve got a lot of projects in mind, but I’ll have to share them later, since all of my family reads my blog.

I’m going to need a lot of yarn to get it all done. Oh, and time, I need some time too.

I’m also trying to get these two projects finished before Winter. I’m trying to crochet two rows on each project nightly. The king-sized blanket takes me about forty-five minutes to crochet one row. The throw is a little faster though.

Crochet Projects in the Works

I’ve been making lots of pillows lately. The kids have claimed all of their favorite ones for their rooms, so I’m making a few extras for the downstairs Summer daybed.

They are super quick to crochet too.

I’ve also started working on hexagon throws for Christmas gifts.

I’m planning on making six of them.

During the evenings, I’m working on two projects upstairs.

I started this throw for our bedroom in late April. It is slowly coming along.

I’m also still crocheting on this beast…

This king-sized blanket was started over a year ago, and I am still no where close to being done… Each row takes me about forty-five minutes to complete. It is a very slow going project.

One more Crocheted Cushion

I’ve been making these cozy crochet cushions left and right. This time around I had Dylan pick out the yarn.

He chose green, his very favorite color.

This cushion came together quickly.

It looks extra cozy on the Summer daybed too.

I decided to start crocheting a fifth one yesterday…

I hope to have it done over the weekend.
