Monthly Crochet Review: April

I need to clean my craft table… It is getting a bit cluttered. So is the rest of the house, but who wants to clean when there is crafting to be had.

Looking over my photos for the month, I wasn’t working on any little projects. I have a bunch of Christmas present projects going on though.

I have four projects in progress right now, and three more that have yet to get started.

I’ve started working on a Soft Grey blanket for a gift. It is coming along nicely. I work on it a row at a time whenever I have a chance. I’m using RedHeart Grey Heather Yarn, and double-crocheting all of the rows. I love this shade of yarn, and I have used it on several projects.

I’ve also started another Happy Hexagon blanket for a gift.

I can’t remember if this is the third or fourth one that I have made. I love this blanket pattern. It comes together quickly, and the colors are random and fun.

I did (finally) get one gift finished…

The Mod Grannysquare blanket is done!

This one is a gift, but I love the look of it so much, I have to make one for our house too.

I started this one last year. I can’t remember just when I started it, but I really am pleased with the final outcome. The bright colors pop, and it is extra warm and cozy too.

Monthly Crochet Review: March

I completed a few little projects during the month of March. I spent most of my time working on Christmas gifts.

The mod granny-square blanket.

The African flower blanket.

And the granny-burst blanket too. They are all coming along one little square at a time.

James and I got out of the house for a bit, and that called for a trip to Hobby Lobby. I stocked up on some yarn.

I like winding yarn balls while catching up on my favorite shows.

I did complete a few little crochet projects….

I made a cozy catnap blanket in cotton for the big kitty. He loves to sleep on whatever I’m working on, so I made this just for him, so I can get back to work. It is just a big granny-square, and I crocheted on it until I ran out of yarn, He likes it, and loves taking a much needed nap.

I also completed my “Walker Throw”

I started this throw in February, and I made it my Walking Dead project. It came together quickly, and the chunky yarn is extra soft and very cozy.

I made a little scarf for a very dear friend.

I made a few little projects for my Mom too.

I made a super-sunny rainbow scarf. It turned out really cute, I think I might make a few more.

I also made a Happy Hippie Belt/Headband

This little project was super quick to crochet.

Monthly Crochet Review: February

February was extra cold, so that meant that I was able to spend quality time at the craft table.

I picked up some yarn for my birthday. I had a new project in mind.

My brother sent me a super-cool birthday gift! He sent me a big box of yarn, he knows me so well.

I’m focusing most of my time still working on these three Christmas Gifts.

The mod granny-square blanket is almost complete. I have just two more rows of granny-squares to go.

The African Flowers blanket is coming along. I’m one third of the way complete with the crochet work.

The granny-burst blanket only has two completed rows. I still have another thirteen to complete.

I did complete a few crochet projects.

I finally got all of the granny-square pillows stuffed, and in place.

They turned out super comfy, and I even added one to our bedroom.

I had this funny stash of tapestry wool that I had picked up at the antique store. I decided to gather up all of the wool, and make a scarf.

It was a quick weekend project.

The new scarf is very warm too. It came in handy for all of the recent freezing weather, and snow we’ve been having.

I’ve also started working on another blanket. This one is my Walker Blanket. I’m crocheting it as we are watching the Walking Dead on Sunday’s.

I’m using extra bulky yarn, so it is moving along quickly.

I hope to finish it soon. It is extra warm, and cozy.

More Cold Weather Is On The Way

Today it was in the 50’s and oh so lovely, by midnight, it is supposed to snow again. Oh goodness, I am more than ready for Spring weather.

I got the house stocked up, and I picked up a little bit of yarn too. Just in case we get snowed in over the weekend.

I’ve made a batch of Cinnamon Rolls.

I started a new book this week too. I think I’m up to number five for the year.

I’m also working on three different blankets (so far) for Christmas.

I think I’m set, bring on the snow!

Valentine’s Day Pillows

I started these last month, and finally got them stuffed and on the Summer daybed.

I wanted a little more color for the daybed, and new cushions would do the job.

I decided on making giant granny-squares. They are easy to crochet, and duplicate.

I picked out lots of lovely Valentine hues for the cushions.

I got out the sewing machine, and stitched four pillow liners. Then came the fun part, all the stuffing.

They turned out nice and bright, and extra comfy too.

Perfect for a nap on a lazy Saturday.

I took one of the Lilac and Grey pillows upstairs, it looks perfect on our bed. Just a little hint of color.
