I often have really crazy kitchen accidents. I’m always getting hurt making dinner, or burning myself getting cookies out of the oven, but this is my most bizarre accident to date. I was cleaning out the toaster. I stood over the trash can, shaking the crumbs out, and all of the sudden the toaster slipped out of my hands, smashing my toe. This is the same toe that I have broken in the past, so I feel that this toe has a curse upon it. Seriously only I can injure a toe with a toaster.

Today is catch up day. My husband is back to work after vacation, and yesterday we rearranged the house, so there is a lot to clean up after. We took apart our son’s crib, and put up his big boy bed. He likes it so far, and he is busy taking off all of the bedding and pillows. He didn’t take a nap yesterday, so it was a long day. I think that I was as tired as he was. So I have my to do list started, and many things to cross off. Back to work .

The house is finally almost all cleaned up from Christmas, and it only took me a week to do it. I’m still finding homes for the presents, and putting away all the decorations. We have been running errands all week, and taking care of all of those things that you need to take care of before the new year, a.k.a. taxes. Maddie is back from the vet, he got fixed for the new year, and he is recovering well. Loki, and the little guy missed Maddie a bunch. I missed him too, but I didn’t miss him coming in to wake me up at 2:00 a.m. Anyway we are going out to dinner tonight, and off to do some shopping. Gotta hit those after Christmas sales! Happy New Year!

So I’m addicted to organizational products… You know the little plastic bins, and the containers to hold the containers. Maybe I’m staying home a bit too much, but I’m cleaning the house and organizing everything. Oh well, at least it will be easy to pick up and keep clean before the mom in law comes by.
